This channel is basically a place to share videos fixing tech devices, tutorials, etc. I own and run an established computer shop in East Tennessee and do mail-in repairs, upgrades, custom gamer builds, etc. Thanks for checking out my channel!
This is just a thought, but would a heat gun, running back and over the board (not particularly high heat) would soften the plastic and let you pull up gently, or even shear off the tops?
yessssss I fixed it The problem I expected was from the laptop itself, the charger port had something stuck in it. After watching the video and the comments, I turned on the phone's flashlight to see the charger hole, And I found the part very tilted, even though it was charging, it didn't enter the laptop's port completely. I give it a try, because any movement of the laptop disconnects the charger, not stable. Now the port has been improved. you made my day. Thank you for the video and the explanation. I used a pin hair + a nail, was scared coz I wasn't so gentle. liked subs <3
Thank You! I know somebody at work who is selling one with the same problem. Will be buying it soon! Thanks again for this great video and problem solution!
I accidentally bent mine, so I took it to Best Buy squad. They said it was unfixable. Tried to get me to buy a new one. Even though I just bought the one and accidentally bent a couple pins right away. So then I tried to take it to a PC repair shop. The guy charged me $50 to tell me there’s nothing he could do. so then I took it back home and my 12 year-old son got a pair of tweezers and a magnifying glass and fixed it himself.
ive seen a couple people use dremels to remove the plastic stems, maybe try that next time? its definitely more messy but can be easily cleaned up with a mini vac and it reduces the risk of damage
I have a 2017 macbook air. Been using for years. 2 times it suddenly stopped taking a charge and wouldnt turn on. The first time i messed with it for 2 weeks and randomly it turned on. It was fine for an entire year till it did it again on me about 2 weeks ago. Again i kept messing with it, i thought the battery was toast. Found ur video while searching the internet on how to force a macbook to turn on without the battery plugged in(thank u very much for this usefull info) so i decided to stick the battery back in and use ur method again and boom damn thing works and is charging like nothing happened. Smh
Had me excited for a min till I got to the end where you did plug a battery back in! Like you I'm working on the same model. Like him the battery is toast.
Super helpful, Bob. My wife plugged her computer into a display splotter (for PCs) at a corporate office to charge, and after that, every startup hasbeen static on the screen, stuck at Apple logo, or black, always with the fan maxed out. I suspected battery, and will now give that a try. Thanks!
I'm new to electronic - what tools did you use to do so? I have the same issue with the WD HD 1TB - need to to take the chip (BIOS) chip. can you provide the some of the tools / gadgets?
I have mid 2015 and they are really great, but the batteries keep expanding and I have had to replace it twice, and it needs to be replaced again. I wish there was a way to just get rid of the battery and just run it off the power supply all the time.
@@jackj5368 I have no idea. The first time Apple did it for free. The second time I took it to local place and I understand they used apple parts, but i had to pay.
😂I’m having the same problem. Where did you buy your battery? Apple replaced my battery due to the battery recall. Now it expanded again. I have to do it myself this time.
I have the same laptop and the same problem! But I'm in Kazakhstan. Thank you for your video! But, where did you buy this button? Please share the source
I had the exact same issues and replaced the battery but it still has all the same issues after replacing the battery. I even waited to login and activity monitor had the root doing 500% of the cpu. System taking 70% cpu at idle and I was 30% user always maxed so it was so so slow.
This is just perfect tyerd trying to go in cmd and destroy my partitions. And as you said Microsoft should fix it not US, even I as experienced user found it a bit hard to do the fix from cmd
bro this worked for real i tried everethink else and nothkin thanks a lot i has so many bugs in pc games and others stuff and the reason was that...good job
WTF!! How the charger can make a difference? coz this problem is also occuring when I'm using my laptop on battery (without charging). Can you explain?
Why would no ram in have to do with nothing on the screen? Never seen that as a problem. Also usually when the screen isn't working trying external image isn't usually a success since you often need to enable something in BIOS, at least in older laptops. I think it's easier on later laptops. Regarding old AMD, I actually don't have a lot of experience with older AMD but I somehow got the understanding it's not much of value. But the newer since Ryzen was released is in my opinion a lot better than Intel since Intel don't let you do as much with their CPUs. Just having them locked down unless you pay top dollar.
