Thanks for sharing your adventures i have watched several you clips. I'm a hour and half from uwharrie.i was there a week ago on the dusty level Rd trail..I think what it's called
Woa! That wasa badass hike man thankx for sharing with us. Going down on the latters seem sketchy as hell oof! I just did the bridge part yesterday but definitely looking forward to the profile trail on day. I think I'll feel alittle more comfortable doing it with someone else tho
Hey there! Came across your video doing research on the VA Triple Crown hike. Just subbed to support another fellow hiker and vlogger. Nice video. I hadn't ever thought of starting at Dragons tooth. I have been watching Frozen for years. His video was actually the very 1st video I ever watched on the triple crown. Nice info in your video.
First one of yours I have watched. Enjoyed it. If you are not in good shape you sound good. Most sound like they're going to heave a lung when they are walking. Either you take your time or you're stopping to catch your breath before getting on camera.
Why has your content stopped? I hope all is well for you. Your videos are honest and informative. I go to a lot of the places in your vids. Thanks for the ideas and inspiration. Hope you will make more someday.
Too bad you didn't mention that the HMG pack doesn't have a replaceable hip belt like the Zpacks does. Zpacks has multiple sizes of hip belts that are interchangeable. The HMG does not have an interchangeable hip belt because it is sewn in. This factor alone, was enough to drive me to the Zpacks, not to mention all of the accessories that are available for the Zpacks.
Great video! Thanks for sharing. My husband and I are planning on doing this trip on June 22 - can you comment on what the low temperature was for you? I'm trying to determine which quilt to bring. Thanks!
You have a wrist watch that apparently isn't affected by your body temperature, unlike every wrist watch with temperature I've seen. What's the brand/name? Thanks.
Ever make it back to the Linville Gorge? Really enjoyed your videos and hope you'll start them up again. I live 10 miles from the gorge and it was nice to see some of the trails i've been on in your video. Makes me want to get back out there!
I did that hike couple months ago with my group The Hikibg Buddy. We started at 8:30 and reached Mount Mitchell at 3:30. Now, there is a small parking lot at Bowlens and cost $5. This is a very cool but also brutal hike. Make sure you take plenty of water and electrolytes. And very good snacks. This Will make a big diference on your performance. Big chances you won't find any water on the trail. The first 3.7 miles is a constant steep ascend and you'll thinks that's is the worst part according to any elevation graphic from any app. Dont let that fool you, Hell is ahead after you reach the beautiful view of the Crest. Go to hike it, it is an amazing experience. :)
Wolf Packs - I’m thinking between this or the Foothills Trail. Won’t be till March. Also this trail does not have blazes like the AT? I am pretty new and never got lost in the AT.
Wolf Packs - I am going to South Dakota in 2 weeks. I’m going to hike the deep snow and day camp, if it wont snow storm. I cant do overnight, the Mountain Lions will eat me. Stay tuned!
Great video! I did this back in March. I hiked from the bottom to Mount Mitchell as a day hike. Will never do it again. Backpacking yes. I’m glad I knocked it off my list.
Great video! Heading that way next month. I have the same tent. What pack are you using? Also which Garmin watch do you have? Have been looking at them. Thanks!
