Awesome! My mouth was watering watching this. It laughs in the face of those who think putting boiling water on to a packet of dehydrated something constitutes a bikepacking meal. It does mean carrying more stuff, but if like me, you’re mostly on your own, it fills the time between stopping for the day and bed-time. Respect!
Thanks for showing this. Your video showed Yann's method in a very simple and clear manner. I just recently watched the Yann Camus video for the 2nd time. His interjection for the simpler method, is good, although it kinda wasn't the same as it being shown on real rock. But all the principles were there. I've done TRS on a pre-rigged line, but never LRS so I wanted to start with the stick clipping method. I do some route developing and route maintenence with my husband, (got the ascending, descending, gear management stuff down) but I wanted to be able to be a bit more independent and not have to rely on him to set the ropes up, especially for the easier routes we need to do some route checks on. (All the bolts and anchors are bomber, it's mostly to check for any loose rocks) Thanks again! Keep climbing and enjoy the process!
Thanks for your comments. It was good to try this out on an easy route to be able to concentrate on the process and simplify the filming. I think the bolts on Yann’s route were a lot further apart hence the use of his much longer clip-stick and of course he was standing in slings not on ledges Clip-stick rope soloing, a whole new world of adventure.
