I'm just a busy working mom to twins who is trying to get through the beautiful chaos that is life. I'm a total bag lady and love trying out different bags, diaper bags, travel bags, etc. But I'm also a crazy online shopper, always trying to do as much "research" as I can on different products that I'm interested in. I figured I would use my obsession for bags (and other random things) to put information out there for other shoppers, since I always found myself wanting "more" in terms of video reviews of products. I think the market bag is actually a dust bag for your purse. You fold it up and put the bag inside. At least that's what others have said. The handles you can take the other handle and wrap around the one. The leather is Vaccetta leather. The same leather used by Louis Vuitton. It will age beautifully.
That little pocket you speak of is perfect for my pack of gum! lol I just got the large one of this style. Really love it when I go on vacation or don't wanna carry my giant metro tote :D
So sorry for the late reply! It's an excellent work bag because it can really fit everything - laptop, lunch bag, etc. But yes, it does tend to get heavy when fully packed since it is a large bag - but all large bags would be the same. The bag itself is extremely lightweight because of the nylon material that's used, so it won't add too much to what you're already carrying.
Hi there, it's an older model card case from Vera Bradley. I just checked their website and I don't see it there anymore, but it might pop up again in the future. I think it was called the "Envelope Card Case" or something like that. It might also be available on Amazon or ebay.
Hello - Given your knowledge of so many of the MZ Wallace bags, seeking any general advice/items for consideration. I'm debating between the mini metro deluxe tote, downtown crosby and small crosby hobo. I'm only 5'2" and so worry about bulk but also want something really versatile - work, errands. I don't have kids to tote stuff for.
Hi there! I don't have the small crosby hobo so I can't really comment on that one, but between the mini metro tote deluxe (MMTD) and downtown crosby (DC), I would say it largely depends on how much stuff you typically carry around? The DC is much smaller than the MMTD so it definitely doesn't hold as much--it would be limited to basic essentials only: phone, sunglasses, wallet, tissues, keys, small cosmetics/toiletries/hand sanitizer. The MMTD can hold a lot more in addition to those things, such as a water bottle and small sweater/wrap. In terms of versatility, my vote would go to the MMTD. It's not too bulky either--it's just right in terms of size. If, however, you like the look of the shiny zippers and chain strap on the crosby styles (they are really pretty), it's possible the crosby hobo would work for you. I hope this helps; I know it's so hard to choose!!!
@@owlturtlemom4651 Thanks much! You are confirming my leaning. I just saw that the small sutton now available in deluxe. Now that v the MMTD could be a toss up. Seems like the main difference is the shorter handles and ability to clip the Sutton more compactly. Any other differences to be noted?
I don't believe the small sutton deluxe has the extra hidden "collar pockets" behind the exterior pockets that the MMTD has--to me, that's a huge difference in terms of functionality. Take a look at my discussion on the differences between these 2 bags with Sail Away in the comments below. :)
I do still love it. It's the only bag I grab for nowadays. I think the big difference between this bag (the mini metro tote deluxe) and the sutton deluxe is that this one has the 2 additional "collar" pockets behind the 2 exterior slip pockets, which add to the overall ease of grabbing things quickly. I put taller/narrower items like my phone inside the exterior pockets and smaller things like chapstick, keys, and hand sanitizer in the collar pockets, which are easier to grab from than the exterior pockets because they open up a lot wider. I was drawn to the sutton deluxe initially because I love the clipped down shape, but when I saw that it didn't have the collar pockets, I decided to stick with my metro deluxe.
@@owlturtlemom4651 Thank you so much for the detailed reply, I'm so glad to hear that you love it! Yeah all those pockets are a major selling point. Unfortunately the SSD exterior pockets are just too tight, too tall and narrow but the MMTD ones look perfect.

Hi there! Yes, the handles do stick up (or sort of flop to the side) when wearing crossbody - it was something that drove me a little nuts on bags like the Small Sutton previously, but I have learned to tolerate it now. They don’t really get in the way or anything and I basically overlook them because the rest of the bag is so functional. You can tuck the back handle (on the side closest to your body) down and out of the way; and you can even tuck both handles into the hidden zip pockets (toward the inside of the bag) if you really wanted to also.
The large/boxy super-insulated types might be a struggle (as in will fit but will take up the entire bottom of the bag - that's what happened when I tried to put my large rectangular insulated lunch bag in there); otherwise your typical sack/tote lunch bag will fit just fine. :)
Unfortunately it's not available on MZ Wallace's website anymore as it's a retired print. You would have to search ebay and other sales sites to try to find it.

Hi! Depends on how big your lunch bag is.... I take this bag to work too but I carry my lunch bag separately because it's one of those bulkier/insulated lunch bags and won't fit into the small Max. If your lunch bag is on the smaller side (like a brown paper bag lunch) it'll fit. Anything bigger will also fit, but you won't have much room for other things inside the main compartment (but there are 4 outer pockets that will accommodate a lot of smaller things). Hi there! So I ended up keeping the Companion backpack (the one on the right) a lot longer than the other, because I preferred the style/features on the Companion. The Companion held up really well and took a daily beating for sure, but didn't really show any signs of wear. When my kids grew older and I didn't need the big backpack anymore, I gave it to another mom and she loved it. I'm not sure if she still has it now, but overall - it was a really great backpack that held up for me beautifully.

Yes, I absolutely love the Magnet color - it's one of my favorites from MZW. But, I also love Dawn too. Both are great neutrals that go with everything. Dawn and Magnet are the 2 colors I have the most bags of - sorry I know that's not very helpful! But really, you can't go wrong with either one!
The micro is awesome - I love it! A fantastic tip I learned from a fellow RU-vidr (her comment is down below) is to position the strap clips so that the "pokey" / sharp parts are facing away from your body - it really does work! :)
