This is the newest color from Ju-Ju-Be's Onyx Collection: Chrome! I absolutely love this neutral, professional-looking charcoal gray color. This bag has all of the classic Ju-Ju-Be features, like teflon-coated water resistant exterior, tons of pockets for organization, D-rings for attaching the bag to strollers, memory foam change pad and strap, BUT this bag is so sleek and elegant, it doesn't "scream" diaper bag so it can definitely double as a work bag or travel bag as well! LOVE IT!

How do you like the Chrome material? Seems more... thin? Than the usual material they use with the other patterns... how does it hold up comparatively??

I'd say it's pretty similar in terms of thickness. It's still durable and flexible like the other materials they use. It's just not as smooth--it definitely has more texture to it. Hope this helps!

I think overall I like the smoother feel of the other prints better, but that's just my personal preference..... I can see benefits to both. :)

I have the BFF in Chrome and I prefer the texture to my HoboBe which has the smoother, standard JJB material, personally. I think it looks more high end. But I do wish it were a bit thicker, my backpack straps get twisted where they thread thru the adjustment buckles. That said I'm obsessed with this bag and it's literally all I use now.

Does a it fit a bottle of water in the side pocket?

Definitely! But not a super tall one - if you scroll to around 11:50 in the video, you can see the type of water bottle that will fit into the side zip pockets. I'd say 12-16 ounces max.
