I am a retired 78 year old. I drive a 2019 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon Unlimited. I ride with a group of seniors in the Anthem 4-Wheelers club out of Sun City Anthem in Florence, AZ.
@ John yea that would have been me😊, I bought an additional set of springs and screwed one set into the other set, I figured it to equal out to around a 1)2 ton Buick 😄
Very Nice Again! I’m assuming like last year you came up Miller Road (Cowboy Miller depending on your map)? We have had good precipitation this spring, the green adds a nice touch, hope to do this as an overnight trip before June if my health can improve a little.
We did come up Cowboy Miller. I didn’t video up to Table Mtn or the mine as I did that the last time. I started videoing after the mine. We left Florence at 6am and were back home around 5:30pm.
First you need to buy a home in Sun City Anthem at Merrill Ranch in Florence. Our club is not allowed to take non-residence on our rides for insurance purposes. Sorry.
@@melissakim438 We live in a 55+ community that is governed by federal law. Any club that is formed in this community, by federal law, cannot include people that don't live here. The insurance issue is a Pulte issue. It protect them from suits brought by the members who may get hurt while participating in a club event. Hope that explains it for you.
This part of the trail has changed during the monsoon rains of last year and no longer looks like this. There is some rocks to navigate but they are not this bad.
Thanks! @@brcrowell1 I missed the part where you went to sulfite mine the first I watched it. I know where that is at. I have taken 349 to 349a up to sulfide del rey in the Pinals several times. It all looks so much differently now since the fire. One last question for you if you don't mind. Where was the canyon bottom you went through?? Where did you come out? I thought maybe it was Lyons Canyon/Dripping springs rd, but it looked like you drove past the turn off to that. @ 4:49
We stop at these coordinates. 33° 16' 51.30" N, 110° 58' 3.95" W We ran into a gate at Lyons Canyon and decided to not go through it. There were no trespassing signs on the gate.@@MrCoolJaybo1
@@brcrowell1 I've always wanted to explore that area, specifically a trail that goes from Devils Canyon to the Pinals, But I hear that its complicated with private property etc. Thanks, maybe see you out there! 🙂
You live in hot Arizona and you buy a black Jeep, do you like it hotter inside than outside, because that's what you've got, black paint jobs can heat up to between 130-150 degrees on a hot day
I'm not great, it's just not hard to drive a vehicle nor is it hard to trail ride, anyhow it's more about the good times with good friends, and the deserts
I agree. This trail is not difficult for the most part. Check this newer video out. It shows some different sections. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-SvQYBpT6XZ0.html
@@brcrowell1 now that's good times,I love going out in the rain and Mudd, seems like are areas are slowly being taken away,I live in Apache junction, a lot of our immediate sorounding desert are off limits nowadays.
@@austinterrill3108 I haven't found that to be a problem out here where we wheel. There are so many trails. We spend a lot of time around Mammoth. It is uncrowded and has many fun trails of all levels.
This the start from Hwy 177. 33° 15' 17.83" N 111° 5' 59.22" W Then a left turn at 33° 15' 17.80" N 111° 6' 35.54" W The rest of the trail is pretty straight forward. However, I have not run this trail in a while and have heard rumors that it might be closed. Good luck.
It inspires me to visit again after 20 years. I can now see the current condition of the road, a lot more of a challenge now. I had never seen this particular dam, it is spectacular.
Nice, the easy line on what would be the west side is completely washed out now, we will see how it looks in November after the rains push down more sand.
Ran it with just my rig today, probably a subpar choice it sketchy for a wide rig on tons but it was fine. Thank you for the video, that nailed down my gps track almost to the tee. 5.5 hours from the entrance to Miller Road over to Rug Road, the mine then Parsons Grove and back out.
We had one with us on this ride. It did all the obstacles but had to be winched off one of them. I would not do this trail if there is snow on the ground.
Need some narrative other then the sound off your engine fan and use some video of you driving from other people taking videos. It will help liven up your video. That being said I would love to come out with you guys or maybe come up to Prescott or Sedona.
