this review is funny. a cousin of mine just dropped off one of these bad boys at my home. im researching it rn its in pretty good condition just needs a little Polish. what are the two levers up by the handle bars for ?
Hello! I'm glad you enjoyed the video! The additional bars near the handlebars are actually connected to the brake levers. This allows you to brake either in the drops or with your hands on the handlebars!
It is real. It's an event held every spring at Indiana University. Everybody rides the same 1 speed bike with coaster brakes. They're allowed to change the seat and the tape on the handlebars. Every team uses the same flat rubber pedals. It's a lot of fun to see. My boy was on the winning team in 2014.
@@jban324 Congrats to your son! Yeah, I was just kidding... but I really didn't know it was a real race till I saw this video. I was making a joke in regards to the movie "Breaking Away".
Hey @timriesz3366, although some fix gear bikes have no brakes. These have what are called coaster brakes! Feel free to learn more here: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-oWuBNMrv4Lw.html
You have to put in a burn that leaves at least a 1/4 lap gap on the pack, then you can relax and do an easy exchange and your fresh rider doesn’t need to expend a lot of energy catching the pack
Hello! Thanks! Can you tell me the name of the font you used for the thumbnail and the EFFICIENT POSITION caption? It is a and older style of book-style font.
Hey! @claudiamorfin469. I would! Although that would certainly depend on what kind of hills you'll be conquering! Any hills in the Midwest or in the Central U.S, sure. Any Mountain Climbs? Probably a bike with a higher grade drivetrain and lower weigh would make things easier! Hopefully that helps!
@cjc5059 Hello. Certainly! It'll be a Shimano 7-Speed Chain which will likely be a 7.3mm Chain Width. Replacing a Chain will need a ChainBreaker tool, and Shimano Chains can often be put on one way to work. So make sure to face the Engraved Writing facing away from the Bike itself. All the best! - P&M
