I took both doorknobs off, the inside of the latch mechanism fell out. Nothing left but the latch that won’t budge, so I can’t open my front door. HELP!
I just bought one of the red ones with that same sticker on it from amazon a few weeks ago. The offshore people must have gotten tired of people whining about these things being junk out of the box because the one I bought will wobble for a week with no mods. The pin and socket are corrected for proper functions. Now I'm going to find your laser video. Sounds cool!
I have about 300 NEW LG and Panasonics here and about 150 used of the same and had just thrown out like 9 of them for being ZERO responces. Damn to late now. But good to know in the futurte. I know with all these batteries i should not worry about 9 or so lost, But every one is one more than i had before when it was dead zero.
I have an issue where when i unlock the door with the key, the key turns all the way (almost complete circle) and when this happens it mis-aligns the interior lock knob. Is this something wrong with the latch itself that I could replace just that, or something internal in the lock mechanism?
for cars its fine, heavy cars, suvs or trucks its fine also but needs to be on level ground or jack arms will bend slightly. its also a pita to switch out height extender if switching between cars and trucks. i got mine from costco so if i didnt like it even after a long time using it i could return it with no hassle. i kept it because of the lightweight compare to my all steel jack. i also like the quick pump foot pedal
You are wrong about the drilling out the hole. Mine was bought about the same time as yours and it was made of steel and if you don’t get the hole drilled out in the first time you probably won’t get any farther than that because you have hardened the metal and you will just burn up the drill bits , I know for sure because it happened to me so you have to change the pin on the shaft And it can’t be a point , it has to rounded over because the spot you tried to drill was almost flat.
Thanks! I've been mounting my own tires for years, but never had a way to balance them. I just ordered one and I am going to use the drill only method for modification.
there are but if you didnt know already maybe ask someone with some help. alternatives are hard to accomplish where the items are small and theres limited room to accomplish the task but doable if have experience with small electronic repairs
If you have gone as far as doing the mod, nothing has to be said about how to use the balancer. The ones that cant make the mod will for sure not even buy the balancer in first case 🤣👍🏼😇. Good job and great video. Im a very technical dude age 55 and it bothers me that I havnt even thought about a laser. I might be born in the wrong era. Laser is to new to me 😁.
lol, i was 62 when making that video..... and going down that rabbit hole. my motto...never give up, never surrender. im a tinkerer and want to know how and why things work. agreed on viewers figuring out how to use the laser once completed as theres more than one way to accomplish the balancing with the laser
Nice content! do you have any idea where to buy the bushings? I've had zero luck finding the ones for the clutch above where you are working, mine are wallowed out and basically gone, still works, the ole dog, but lots of play!! My part numbers 50705 and 50700!
Thank you so much. That job would of cost over $1000. You showed exactly how it's done. It help me fix my car and I am sured it was useful for everyone else. I had to do the job twice because the first steering assit motor I ordered was defected. To anyone watching if you change the motor and your steering wheel is stiff then your motor is likely defected.
Hi sir! Thank you for sharing. I am actually doing this job now. I am stuck at the pinch bolt. My wrench is turning left ,but it doesn't seem that the bolt is loosening. Did it feel like it was loosening when you did it. The motor is going lower but screw doesn't seem to be loosening. Any suggestions please?
@16.51 in video you need to make sure socket is set onto bolt, if your sure socket is set onto bolt but ratchet is turning your ratchet is in the wrong position for rotation/unscrewing bolt
@@diyvinny6300 Thank you. I just needed a longer ratchet. You mentioned in the video that a longer one would be better. Something like a breaker bar. It worked. I change the part, but the steering wheel turns stiff. Do you think it needs re-calibration?
if you bought it used, of course it is, then it could be you got a bad part, my wrecker gave me, if i remember correctly, 30day warranty@@moneycryptocurrency1024
i did not need to reprogram anything, i was told you might need to relearn the right and left turning stops, google it, but for me iirc i didnt even do that. yes, dealers are called stealerships for a reason
it was just a short vid to show what the jack had for u to form your own conclusion, but to answer your question yes its a good jack but i dont like using it on my inclined/sloped driveway with my 2009 escape, tends to bend a little because of slope, but in garage its fine. my all steel jack on driveway is fine
If you widen the hole....am I right in thinking the is not way of knowing if the tip is in the center of the pivot point. Has anybody tried to use the balance rig as delivered. I mean does it really matter if its sitting on the shoulder.....I agree it dont sound right......but maybe its accurate enough.
You are the only person who shows me to punch the core out, Thanks. The only difference is that after I had widened the hole I put it in a cordless drill as a drill bit and grinding on the pin together until the point touched the bottom
You had lined up the RED DOT with the air valve you would have got it balanced. The RED DOT is the Highest part of the tire and the the YELLOW DOT is the heaviest part of the tire. If there is both dots on your tire,.. the RED DOT is used over the YELLOW DOT every time. it seems the shop that installed your wheels on the rims did not do it do that when they were installed.
was this due to a power steering fault. Struggling with this now we replaced the torque sensor same fault. Also runing a tire pressure sensor fault and seemed to see these could cause other faults sounds weird but kinda lost im about to get a whole replacment used colum like you did...
idk what the actual fault of my power steering was, i know i didnt want to spend the money on the oe part, and do the tedious installation where i could kill it with a bad installation. was not going to buy the doorman part unless i got it for free. replacing the steering column was the easier and cheaper solution for my situation, but all you need is the bottom half of the column which is where the motor and computer module and torque sensor reside
ah so technicly i only need the motor and computer. my worry is installing the torque sensor could have failed or it isnt the torque sensor thats bad. so i feel like my best bet is to do the whole column like you did.@@diyvinny6300
