Poems developing a Neo-Romantic sensibility. Many of which celebrate aspects of nature or spoken from nature's point of view.
eARTh works is an open gallery for exhibiting and recording a continuing series of art works using natural materials or texted based projects. Many of the works are being created in the eARTh garden currently growing and taking shape in the Croatian countryside.
I have a second channel, andrewnorris2, where I show my films from and about our little village in the Croatian countryside.
It's no surprise to me that the poem won. Powerful imagery in but few words. A bit late for congratulations maybe, but not for appreciation. Thanks for sharing that.
I liked the gushes, rushes and bushes juxtaposition. And Mercury is like quiksilver akin to the passing of a car to the slow pace of a pedestrian. By chance I listened to this in overnight accomodation having just walked alongside a fast A road to the nearest shop. Not in the dark though - on a hot sunny Saturday late afternoon....
Wow I enjoyed that and congratulations🎉🎉🎉🎉 You have had an interesting rich and full life. Yes if we can talk Richard Branson into letting you go on the next flight, you will have achieved pretty much everything there is to do.😊 I feel very privileged and honored to call you my friend. I listen to the BBC world service on satellite radio everyday as I am driving across the states, I shall listen eagerly for your next adventure.
Loved that Andrew - very profound. There's also the annoyance at times, which leaves me cold when I'm enjoying a moment in the night. Not all the time but at times. Good going there. Mark
A rich tapestry of life. My first homes were also rooms in staff accommodation blocks at Exminster Hospital, Devon, and Bexley Hospital, Kent. We would frequently remove the furniture and hold all night parties…great fun had by all. Happy memeories 🥳🍻🕺📻💃
Thanks for hosting the Club, Andrew. Jackie and I did see some of it despite on/off internet at the hotel.Looking at the numbers of viewers perhaps it's time I retired and let you take over!!
Great stuff. Yes, I saw the second half, lucky brilliant second goal. My ‘football’ correspondent failed me last night. (If you watch the live you’ll understand!) 👍🏻👍🏻😘😉
Absolutely superb vlog. You should do a monthly live broadcast. Sorry I could not join you online but tomorrow we are heading to Southampton to cruise on Anthem of The Seas to Norway x 1/52. We have 4 excursions booked…so excited! Last week an elderly lady asked me if I get bored since my retirement, and miss going to work every day! 🤣🫢🤣 Lichen are both beautiful and fascinating. They cover 6% of the Earth’s surface. Many animals birds depend upon them for their survival. I agree that community is very important. We have lovely neighbours, hence we have lived in this house for 37 years 🫢 I’m looking to joining your walk, plus pub meal 👍
@@andrewnorris1 Are dogs able to go in the pub with us? If necessary I’ll leave her to sleep in her dog box whilst we eat. I’m looking forward to seeing you, and all the gang, again 🥳👏👍
@@PortsladeBySeasadly no. Ky has got special permission but even Kym’s two lovelies are not allowed. I’m so sorry about that. Dogs are such supreme creatures!
So interesting to see the various processes by which you try to capture the ethereal moods of such an organic subject. It is a huge body of work. Do you feel you have yet further to go....there must be many moods and vagaries of nature yet to be revealed.
A more than fitting tribute to your hard work over time, Andrew. The music is very fitting. Reminds me of a certain composer whose name for the life of me I can't remember. Thamk you for taking us onm your adventure.
Thanks for coming along for the ride, Bernie, its an adventure that sees no end in sight. Even after three years I am still mystified by the possibilities and opportunities that could manifest themselves into pictures of video. (Would the composer you are reminded of be Debussy, but any chance!)
Exquisite work, Andrew. The paintings are so still, yet so expressive of nature's subtle movement. The Japanese word "shizuka" (quiet, gentle) comes to mind. Wishing you a great summer.
Interesting that you should use a Japanese word in this context. I deliberately titled this 100 views in homage to Hokksai' s 100 views of Mt. Fuji. Lovely to see you here. I hope things are going ok for you.
I was practicing the flute when I found your new upload. Having finished watching, I went back to my flute, but I couldn’t resume practice. I was too impressed with your art and music to do anything for a while.
My good friend, Masabo, I hope that this was a temporary issue. Your own work is moving in interesting directions so you need to keep going forward. But I appreciate the sentiment and was delighted that you should stop by and that this video touched you in some way. Keep going, Matey!
Wow you’ve been so busy Andrew. If I had to choose one I couldn’t, they are all spectacular. Fascinating how they come together ❤ So nice to see faithful Zorro by your side 🐶 Thank you for showing us all your amazing work 🖼
It's very funny whenever she talked about Casablanca because even I was very confused about Ilsa. I think she played it beautifully, it kept me wondering about what could be Ilsa's agenda til the end of the movie. It's like being in Rick's position where he's smitten by a mysterious beautiful lady.
FIRST!!! HAHA never been 1st b4 ha i want to take buses and tubes like that bet the people on them interact and actually talk to each other that would be a very nice change
So very sad, I wish we had seen this when we went; next time we will definitely go, and pay respects to the sailor. Thank you for sharing this. Gone but never forgotten
How kind of you to say, Michael, I think in all our ways we have created an interesting life, if only for those who have lived it. Glad you enjoyed this little presentation.
INGRID BERGMAN IS ONE OF THE GREATEST ACTRESSES OF ALL TIME ALONG WITH MERYL STREEP, BETTE DAVIS, JUDI DENCH, MAGGIE SMITH, VANESSA REDGRAVE, GERALDINE PAGE, GLENN CLOSE AND CATE BLANCHETT...
Absolutely loved that Andrew. The mental asylum seems an odd choice to many but I can see the multi-dimensional essence of it. So interesting. As for the bedsit I resonate with that too. I spent years in bedsits - some all floors were populated by mates and the whole block became a rave with open doors. Yeah, like you we packed em in. You're one property was an oasis of a different kind - what a creation. A kind of spring board for there you are now. Thanks for sharing - really enjoyed the stories. Have a great new year. Mark
Thanks, Mark, I really enjoyed putting this video together, ostensibly to collate all these disparate pieces of information, photos, drawings etc., that I had collected over the years but never quite anticipated the reception this video would receive, I guess it resonated with everyone who ever lived in a small space! Yes, the flat I bought back in 1992 has facilitated my art, my gardening and my pleasure! Have a great New Year, too, Mark and thanks for your watching over the past few years.
If you ever walked up Gloucester Road, or around Portman Square, then I probably spied you from my window where I worked, 1983 - 1997. Wonderful job in an interesting location.
How lovely to hear from you again, its been a while. So glad you are still on yt and producing work, so many people have dropped off the radar. Hope you had a great Christmas and all the best for the New Year!
