Most of the water damage on phone is not activate immediately, it takes time for water to sip in to cause corrosion on motherboard or get in between display layers, if you don’t dry it properly it might gone bad in weeks or even months, that’s what I’ve learned after destroying a few IP 67 and two IP 68 phones. 😂 in my cases, rain is the biggest culprit. Dry them properly, no matter what rating it has. It is “water resistant”, not “water proof”.
