Paid 300$ for someone to come out and replace the entire water wall, same issue again in a year. Gonna try this, looks like everyone else had good results. Thanks for the videos!
I have replaced the magnet with a new factory replacement waterwall still doesn't work. What can be causing this issue. All help would be greatly appreciated TY.
Brilliant tutorial, thanks for this as I was doing it wrong also, trying to sharpen the other way round pushing the file towards the front of the blade which you do with the other less sophisticated kit
@honestdad8944 how fun I can see my motor moving yet I still get the error I even tried a bigger magnet. Maybe someone said my motor is getting water in it and shorting or the sense by the motor is broken that they don't sell separately
Thanks! My dishwasher was making a noise. I had figured out that the detached waterwall was the problem, and I could even see the notch where it was supposed to hook into, but I couldn't figure out how to get it to snap into place. The 45 degree angle was the tip I was missing. I had to hold my fingers against the bottom part I was I snapping the water wall on to, but combined with the 45 degree angle trick, it worked like a charm! No more noise.
You should add that the issue with DI is that the oil you removed would have been stuck to the Intake/back side of the intake valves and since those valves don’t have fuel going past them that oil turns to gunk and then creates issue with intake manifold.
My dishwasher is shooting a code one on the delay store. What do I do for it? I'm just trying to get it to come home. I've never had before. It's been 3 days trying to get it. Come on, I'm still gonna have a clue how to get a start.
Never knew about this---. So I did it and the innards were not too bad. Rather than using a kitchen dining knife, I slipped on a sturdy leather glove on the left hand and used a flathead 3/8 inch screwdriver. I pushed and twisted the screwdriver and it popped ! I really enjoyed doing this !!
I spent about 3 hours and I think it's either my magnet or my motor. The water wall moves but not as fluid as yours does. It goes really slow and looks like it's struggling. So I'm going to try the magnet but if that doesn't work I'm going to get a new motor. Thanks!
Thank you, I've done this before when my Dyson pulsed on and off, but I'd forgotten so I looked and found this video. Glad it's still here 4 years later.
We got this for the toddler room ru-vid.comUgkxdzUap46p9ViXhKZf5mK_bXOb89EHxTqq because of the bladeless feature. Actually has a lot more power than I thought it would. Can still feel the air moving well 6 feet away, which is farther than I would expect from a desk fan. My daughter dropped twice and still works. I haven't checked out how long it lasts on a charge yet, but the air output was still good for the few minutes it was unplugged. My daughter also likes the color lights feature, but I don't really care for it and can be annoying to go through all the options before it turns off. Overall, happy with the purchase, especially for the price
Man thank you for the solution but it doesnt work for mine. the machine works fine when no magnet on the waterwall. But when i put the magnet on the wall, the machine doesnt work and sounds 3 times
What model number is that? Mine is DW80J550US and my waterwall doesn’t have that magnet thing that unscrews under it and doesn’t even have a place for it to screw in. Maybe it fell out, but I don’t see where it screws in.
@@karao7831 I did end up figuring it out. I can’t remember what I’ve posted above, but I will say that after putting my phone in a glass container and running in the wash for half cycles, I discovered the motor for the water wall was not working. I replaced the part for $140, but then had the problem with the water wall would go forward and then just go back and try to keep going back and not recognize that it had hit the back of the washer. I bought a magnet which I saw somebody suggested online in a video and just stuck it underneath the water wall, or I should say it stuck by itself because of the magnetic field. It’s been working fine for a couple months until just the other day. I then looked at the magnet and so it was all corroded so I put another one on it and it’s been working fine.
@@karao7831I stuck the magnet under the gray piece on the bottom of the water wall. Then when the water wall went back the sensor detected that magnet and then bright the water wall forward. I can post a link to the magnet I got if you’d like. It took ordering a few to find the right size.
Did you ever make the next part? How long did your fox last? I just replaced the waterwall motor assembly and not my waterwall goes front to back but it appears to try to keep going back further for several seconds when it gets to the back.
I took the red gel stuff off the top of the magnet to test it. Ran a diagnostic cycle and the dishwasher worked fine. I ordered magnets to replace them in case it fails again later but thought I would share as it only took 2 minutes to diagnose. Thanks for the video!
The best video on RU-vid regarding this issue! I bought a Dyson V6 refurbished from Amazon 6 years ago for $208! One heck of a deal we'll never see again! This vacuum retailed for $599! I came across your video 3 years ago with this same issue I had today, and your video completely solved my issue. My refurbished Dyson V6 has been a workhorse! After using your video, my Dyson works perfectly once again. After a while, this filter gets so dusty and clogged, that the vacuum causes the intermittent suction issue many have faced. I was also amazed at how much dust and debris was inside this filter. Once again, problem solved and thanks again for this great video! Have a great day!
No way that plastic lid was coming off the filter. The second I managed to 'pop' out one of the flanges (without splitting the narrow plastic band holding it in or slicing my finger) the one I had just managed to open prior popped back into place. Gave up after five minutes :(
I think there's something wrong with the guide bar markings on your 2 in 1. I have one and the markings on the guide bars match the the angle of the handles exactly. Maybe the bars are the wrong way around?
Hi and thanks for this video and also part 2. I want to get a magnet before I start taking things apart. Do you, or anyone on here, know the size of magnet that fits? 40x20mm seems to be the most available but I’m finding 50x20mm and a few others. Thanks! PS: I’ve had problems with all Samsung kitchen appliances. Never again.
If the magnet sticks to the fridge does that mean it is still operational? I fixed the waterwall motor like in the other video but now the waterwall either moves to the front or the back but doesn't know when to stop. Just keeps skipping on the track.
Mine would stick to a metal surface as well. But it’s not enough to make the sensor. The magnets aren’t suited for high heat environments and loose the strength.
So we have a Samsung dishwasher. A different model then your. But we noticed an issue with our water wall. We called Samsung and the phone technician only knew to shut off the breaker and turn it back on. Then told us if we need a technician to come over to text him. So I started the Google search. Up come your video and I think sure let see what the honest dad has to say. Long story short you sir are a very smart man and helpful to the rest of us. Now we know how the lower water wall works. Where the magnet is, how to remove it! My husband is much less grumpy knowing that we could fix this ourselves.
Hi Dad I kind of having the same issue though the waterwall arm is getting stuck at the front and making these tapping noices - like the timimg belt is just skipping the wheel - the pump seems to work, the waterwall seems run back and forward but keeps ending at the front with the tapping noices - there is no error codes - I tried with a small magnet added to the original but this did not help anything - just wondering if I should order original magnet or the issue could be the sensor in the back or the PCB board ? Hope you see this and may have next step for me - Thanks in advance - Allan
It could be the cogs on the cog belt that runs the waterwall have strtipped out or broke off. The belt on mine wasn't broke but several cogs were missing and when the water wall gets to that area of the belt it just doesn't move anymore. I think that is the noise that you hear when the belts slips over the top of the gear that moves the waterwall.
Thanks for your video. I watched 10 others and none of them were helpful, to understand how to position the tool. Your explanation and closeup footage made it clear.
One of the most excellent repairs I have seen and used. Thanks a lot . I removed the coating over the magnet, drilled a hole pushed out the old magnet and stuffed in a new one, applied hot glue and it works great now. A real cheap fix buddy.
