You're listening to 君のSTATION. Don't touch that dial any further, and enjoy the tunes coming to you...
This channel is the showcase for music of the "city pop" genre. Unlike other channels, however, relatively obscure albums, albums currently existing in low quality, and albums that haven't been uploaded in full, will be seen here on this channel (so don't expect any of Tatsuro Yamashita or Mariya Takeuchi on here, unless there's stuff from them that's really rare).
DISCLAIMER: I do not own anything in this video at all; all content belongs to their respective owners. Fair use, that's all.
The single from this, especially Room Mate, I found utterly entrancing. I'm glad at least Arisawa-san managed to find a path for himself after this, the talent was clear on display.
Ken's vocal melody in track 5.Julia reminds me of some 80s ballad, a bit maybe like Irene Cara's "What a feeling" intro? Though I swear there was something else way more similar
This album, alone with Ken's debut, is one of the most ambitious and underrated '80s releases I've ever had the pleasure of listening to. Not to mention, this guy was featured in a 1986 Yamaha commercial
Hello, I have a RU-vid technical question that you might be able to help me with. I have a City Pop mix channel and whenever i try using a song from the goat Takeuchi Mariya (for example), my video gets absolutely nuked by Warner Music and doesnt even let me publish it. I do not expect to earn anything from my channel so I wouldnt really mind them keeping the revenue if that was the case, but I cant even publish the videos with her songs. How are you able to publish this? Please help me ! (Also this album is amazing)
I was thinking to myself " Wow it's crazy how the track number 6 "Japanese Woman" sounds like Tatsuo Hayashi's song "Hi-G" that came out in 1979 (one year before Monday Morning) on his album Super Percussion Vol.1 ! Did they know each other ?" then I checked and guess what, he is referred as one of the drummers playing on this album ! Love this !
Wow! This was unexpected! I am fortunate to own their sole lp as well as their two other singles. I’m still hunting for this single myself. You never miss dude!
