Never heard this album before. Glad I've heard it today, 37 years since its release, when I was just in my mid twenties. This is the style of music that I enjoyed in young adulthood, introduced my daughter to, and she enjoys it as she approaches her mid 20's. It defies the generation gap, in the US we call it "West Coast" music.
Yes it was. After the 1981 SHOGUN drug bust fiasco with Fuji and Ohtani getting arrested, the band broke up. This was a group project under the SHOGUN name but it's got nothing with the original 5 "Shogunettes" as Casey called them. These guys are jam partners of his.
