Hi, when the bridge valve reached target temperature, then the circulation pump has no output, then what will happen with the discharge pressure and pump performance? Thank you!
The EXACT same thing happened to me in the car wash! I heard a loud noise, looked fir damage, never saw the cover missing until a few weeks later! Wow after watching your video, I'm tempted to pay dealer to do it! Now I know why their quote was high. Unfortunately, I already bought the part, though. Thank you SO MUCH for making this video to let us know what we will encounter.
I'd add soffit venting if you can. This will help the gable vents by introducing another intake system. Ideally, you want 1sqft of NFA per 150sqft of attic space. You can't really have too much intake venting though. If you have gable vents, you just want to leave more space uncovered towards the peak of the roof to make sure the air can freely flow from behind the Reflectix into the gable vents. I left about 24" on each side and that worked well. You also want to leave some space at the bottom (maybe another 24") to allow air to flow into both the attic space and behind the Reflectix.
@@kungfoochicken08 the soffit vents unfortunately my house isnt made with one .i did call a professional one time and he told me all he could do is add one of these ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-sUaYv-cGxro.html on top of the roof will these work? Also would adding air created by a fan also work? I was thinking about adding a fan on one end topush air to the other side, while the other fan pulls the hot air out. and thank you for the help
@@akanesoratobu8889 Those work well. I’ve actually used them in one of my rentals. If you plan on installing a new roof soon, you can definitely get them put in. I wouldn’t recommend it unless you’re going to replace your roof though. You’re talking about replacing at least three rows of shingles, decking underlayment, and drip edge. It won’t be cheap. Your idea of adding a fan is a much better idea. You can either add a fan to one of the existing gables, or you can add a solar-powered roof vent in the middle and use the gables as intake vents.
@@kungfoochicken08 thank you so much for the help and great ideas. Great idea I will get myself a solar powered vent as well to add as a intake. and then install the radiant barriar. I got to get ready for the summer it gets super humid and hot here. Last year my AC wasnt keeping up mostly was on constatly and couldnt get my temperture down below 82. So hope this will help. thank you so much again!
Question. If the pump is on, I.e. the timer is set to have the pump on, and the water is above the 95 degree threshold for the crossover/bridge valve to operate, does the pump run even though there is no water flowing?
This is exactly what happened to my 2017 MKX the car wash ripped it off and I'm glad you took the time to make this video, I'll try and replace if I can find the light. Thanks
Do you run into error codes with your tankless with this setup? I keep hearing other YT videos of ppl saying dont do it unless theres a tankess water heater with built in and can run the correct mode.
Thank you so much for posting this!!! This exact same thing happened to us we actually caught it and thought it was going to be an easy change so we didn’t ask the car wash to pay for the installation because they were so nice and paying for the 200 and something dollar tail light replacement🙄 We waited for a while before we got around to doing it and figured out we could not freaking do it. It was too late to go back to the car wash and as for installation money. Nothing I mean nothing is online. we even ordered Haynes manuals, and there was nothing in there either!! Holy shit! You’re a freaking rockstar !!!😃😃😃😃✌️
I replaced my inducer motor and blower wheel because of bearing noise. Got them separately on Amazon. Now I got a lot of orange flame. Flame looks like crap. It was nice and blue before. Also seems like the flames are not being pulled/stretch enough inside the exchanger because the flames are not a narrow as before. Maybe didn't adjust the fan blade on the motor shaft far enough out? Maybe the new cheap Amazon blower wheel sucks? I got a nanometer, but haven't checked the vacuum on the inducer yet. Not sure if the manual has a spec or not.
Yes, its possible to cook your shingles if you don't have adequate airflow behind the Reflectix to cool off the roof deck. You really only want to think about Reflectix after you've ensured your attic venting is adequate. You need 1sqft of NFA per 150sqft of attic floor space, with 60% of that venting as intake vents and 40% exhaust.
I have some questions: How can you push water from the hotline into the cold line, when the cold water line is coming at pressure from the utility provider? - Does this setup mean that your cold water line isn't "cold" anymore?
Bless you, Paul!! You saved my day!! I carry a tray with wife’s hc scooter and so I use a rexing dashcam M2 with rear camera 🎥 that I mount top of hatch to view backing area with a higher view over scooter. I was eager to remove 3rd light - NOT NOW! Again - MANY MANY THANKS!
Funny part at 4 minute mark, laughing so hard at whom ever was gonna get some hot water had to wait for your great video to end to be able to finish their shower. The things we won't do to make a good video.
Good video but you don't have to put the pump on a timer they're designed to run all the time. I've had mine running every day for the last four or five years and it is still running.
Your pump shouldn’t circulate continuously unless you have a dedicated return line. The check valve will close and so should the pump because the water has no where to go. If the pump stays on, get one that has a flow sensor.
Did you have any issues with orientation of the pump. Looking at the instructions, you've installed it in the orientation marked (OK) rather than OK. I assume that means NOT OK. Do you have any insight into that?.
Im paul here, im gonna let the professional explain this for you..... Rob: paul, i want to hire you for our spokesman...😂 paul spoke more than the professional...
Thank you SO MUCH for this video. I watched it last week after determining that this was indeed my problem with almost the same inducer. I did the rebuild today following your steps after a very annoying night full of screeching and howling from the furnace. It is SILENT now! Instead of another total rip off from the heating company for what would be at least a $1000 job I fixed it myself for the price of a can of blaster. You are a true DIY hero.
Great job, rebuilding & not discarding!!! I’m having issues with mine, so I’m gonna do the same. Thanks for the time of putting the video up for all to learn.
I put this in my attic also, and it made my attic a lot cooler in the summer before I did. I'd go in the attic, and I'd come out drenched after I put it in. I hardly brake a sweat
I see the problem….. just give the $97 to your old lady so she can go shopping then make a pizza and cook it in your house….. have a six pack blue ribbon, eat pizza
