If you ever go back you need to stop there in Kenton, just outside BM. The curator of the museum lives across the street - an older, retired gentleman. Because I had his undivided attention, we sat and talked for over an hour. He told me so much about the area - about Conquistadors and ancient glaciers, and dinosaurs. In the early fall they have a stargazing meet where astronomy clubs come for a week. They allow one day during that week when the public can camp and stargaze, as well. I wanted to go last fall but was unable.
Wow this is awesome! There's so much history in that region and I love that it's a dark sky reserve too. Thank you for telling us that! We'll be sure to go back 😊
Very interesting hike! I didn't know that Oklahoma had that high peak and also I didn't realize you were so close to the Oklahoma border. Louie sure enjoyed it!
Welcome to the club. In 2019 I walked into a local bike shop and walked out with a fat bike. That was not my intention but that is what I did. LOVE IT!!! Cheers from New Brunswick Canada.
It can definitely vary. Best bet that time of year is to go as early as possible to avoid any thunderstorms that regularly flare up in the afternoons here!
Thanks man! Yes, El Diente is very underrated in my opinion. It took us by surprise and was a little intimidating. Do you plan to go back and climb it? Cheers!
I loved following you 2 on this adventure! You show us just how beautiful the dead of winter can be….so calm and peaceful! Great job on the beautiful poem and music!
Happy to be one of your early subscribers ;-) Beautiful area and trails, and cool drone shots too! Seeing these trails and destinations really makes we wish I could trail run them. Maybe one of these days!
Fun video and new subscriber! I live up in Norther Colorado (Loveland) and have yet to do the incline. One of these days, maybe I'll do the incline and from there, might as well go to the top of Pikes Peak too ;-)
Thank you for subscribing! That sounds like a great adventure to link the two. I definitely recommend the incline at least once in life lol! Sometimes it's a nice way to bypass most of lower Barr Trail. Cheers!
