Just a mum who loves hillwalking. Getting out and about in the countryside Is so good for your mental health.
I’ve lived in Northumberland all my life. Born on the coast then moved to north Northumberland over 20 years ago. Very fortunate to have the Cheviot hills on my doorstep.
I spend every week hill walking when I’m not working. I do it alone a lot of the time so if you ever think you can’t do it alone trust me you can. Just always take the right kit with you. Good footwear, waterproofs, map, compass and food and drink. Always tell someone where you’re going just Incase. It’s a big world out there and it’s waiting for you to explore.
One of my favourite border hills that one Emz. Hownam Law holds a lot of sentimental value for me, I've pitched up there 3 times now, but 2 of those were mad crazy with the wind (I pitched by the trig). Those winds looked too risky for a tent you weren't owa sure of, so hats off for biting the bullet and heading home. Always another day - me little hill marching, bog hopping, stream crossing ray of Northumberland sunshine - hopefully a less windy day 😁🏕💨💨 Xx
@donnavansenior well hello there me little dreedlocked heeded marra. Hope you're doing well love. You're certainly living life to the full that's for sure. Good on ya. I love that hill. The one time I've camped on it it was still as owt. But by eck it tested us this time. No matter where we went we couldn't get out of it. Bloody good walk we had, very enjoyable. Yeah we didn't want to risk it with that tent. Really appreciate you watching dvs. Hope I see you soon xxx
😁 ive had that myself a few times, it happens and the hike alone fully laden can be an adventure on its own. My firemaple tent is on its way 😁👍 next 2 days i should have it. Still good viewing emz and well done you two for vattling it out 👍😁 fingers crossed for better weather soon ..
Evening Mike. Hope you're well. The firemaple tent is cracking I think you will like it. But in the winds we had we didn't want to risk it. Really enjoyed the walk in and out though 👌 😀. Thanks so much for watching and let me know what you think of the firemaple 😊
@emz_adventure my X-Mid would have turned into an expensive bivvy bag in them winds you had. Better to be safe than sorry, but I'm shaw the firemaple is going to be stronger in high winds than my xmid.. fingers crossed I'll be out in the peak district at weekend in the new firemaple if it turns up in time 😁👍 and there is no more storms 🙄😁
That weather looked amazing and we only had a day trip to Skye the last time we stopped Fort William, which was a shame and there looks so much to see there. The only time I have ever encounter any grumpiness and even unfriendliness towards us was in the Highlands, good to see the local wildlife still do not bear a grudge! The scenery looked amazing and I felt sure you would both be in for a wild swim in the small water. The footage and photos you got were great but shame the mist and wet had to eventually come in for the Fairy Pools. Good cobble and the 'Man with the Plan' did a good job, cheers Alan
Evening Alan. It was an amazing trip. We will definitely go back, as you say there's so much to see. Despite a bit of rain we were lucky with the weather. I did have a few tears though at the beauty of coral beach and the sunset. Thanks so much for watching as always. I'm really enjoying your good food guides. Take care all the best to you and Mrs M
Eeh dave I can't believe you've not been. It's so beautiful. It was only my 2nd time there so glad i had andy to show me round. Or I'd still be there stuck in the hills 🤣. It was a great trip and I'll definitely go back. Thanks so much for watching. Really appreciate it 🙏
Keep the fab views coming kids! Fab stuff, love to your woof from ours - ours attacks the tv when she sees Rollo hee! You should see the nose smudges on the screen :-) x
Yep, despite being slightly over 14 Mrs Metalman is not keen being on film either. You got some cracking weather for your hike mind and £3 for parking is very fair. No wonder you were hungry after all that walking on one cup a coffee, I would have been on a stretcher... Shame you never got the 3 ospreys on camera but what a great sight to see and nice way to finish off a 12.5 mile hike, cheers Alan
Morning alan. It was such a beautiful walk and I loved taking Riley where I had done the trail for my charity hike. Well be going back next year again. Loved the biking and hiking. Thanks so much for watching 👀
Hi Mike. Yes it was nice to be out in my local hills on Friday. The tent I did like it. I think andy has a full set up video on his channel right now. Really appreciate you watching. Thank you 😊
Hi Emz 😁 Saw the firemaple tent on andys channel, couldnt resist, and have one on the way 😁👍 i think it will be more srable in rough weather than my X-Mid 1p solid and at that price its a no brainer. Nice and spacious, looks solid enough to cope with our winters 👍 See you on the next one emz 😁 @@emz_adventure

Evening to you all. Thank you so much for watching. Skye is amazing isn't it. It's only my 2nd time there on the isle but there's more I'd like to explore and a few mountains I want to climb so I'll definitely be going back. Thanks so much for watching 😊
