I'm 61 and been fishing a long time. Stumbled on this video last night and a light bulb came on in my head. Went out early this morning and Bam!!!. I put more crappie in the boat than I have in months. Lighter jig and slowed down and it was almost majical. thanks for putting these out. I ordered some lighter heads and jigs from you. Don
I have always counted my jig down, you need to know that, especially shooting docks, And now that I have active target 2, I'm finding fish in places I never thought fish would be. And I'm am an old fisherman but not stuck in my ways, always looking for new places and trying to learn something new every trip. good video. The last month the crappie have been on fire.
Man its been cooking in alabama already just ask them bass elite boys last weekend camera man having heat strokes anglers getting sick from the heat equipment shutting down from heat the hear index was 105 + the humdity what gets ya its been rough here already!!! gotta get out before daylight leave at 11 am its still hot i was soaked at 10:30 i hate summers here lol
Us boomers are just cheap. We learned to fish and our dads used cane poles. But I do ok. My problem is central PA has bad lakes for crappie. And they dont allow sinking brush
Oh the old ways definitely still work and allways will. I just would be lost on a brand new body of water especially if they had no docks or bridges haha
@@TurnerFishingg my home lake is Lake Marburg in York County PA. They have 3 bridges that hold crappie with rip rap. There's floating docks for pontoon boats run by the state but you can't get on them or near them from April to October 31. But there's crappie there. The lakes really deep close to 100 feet at the dam. I think that doesn't help because they suspend this time of year and FFS would definitely help no denying that and no brush allowed. I'd move down south but I can't. Enjoy your videos been watching for years.
Another great video of when and how to catch crappie. I have one question. At what surface water temperature does it take for the thermocline to set up .
Find you a big downed soft wood tree that's 13-15' long and carve you out a 12-14' conoe buy a paddle or carve you one and boom you got you a boat and you don't even have to register it.😊
When I fished with 2D sonar I always fished the same way your fishing except I would vertically fish with my long rods out the front, very affective way to fish.
I always enjoy watching your videos. You share a lot of important information with us , I Do have a question. Why put a split shot on your line for a little extra weight. Put put an extra jig for another presentation. Would 2 jigs be better than one?😊
