Thank you for making this beautiful and deeply touching video. To this day, I have never felt the loss of a fictional character as strongly as Tara. You put into words perfectly why that is.
I feel like the cheating, especially during Joyce's health scare and the Dawn issues that makes people not like him. I was confused at that because while that's completely fucked up, I understood why within the story of him wanting to be wanted. It's weird how people will talk about Riley not liking Buffy being stronger than him when it didn't even seem like an issue. Like idk I just see it if from both perspectives since yes Riley should've had something besides him but he did lose everything and by consequence lost himself.

Tara levels Willow when she:s being treated to bad whif the forgetting-spell. She stopped the relationship when it was decructive for both of them and gives Willow space to work on her issues. In this she should be a good rolle-modell to heterosexual women how leaves destructive men. Tara and Willow is just nice to eccoder in a way all relationships schod be built upon.

This is a great perspective I haven't heard before. So much of the fandom, including me, don't like to think about how the "boring bf" actually had a significant role in Buffy's story. Or even spend time thinking about Riley at all. And that's the only way to find positive (or neutral) aspects of his character
I watched the series as it aired and loved Tara from the beginning. She and Will were the first lesbians I saw on TV, it showed me my feelings were valid and that I wasn't broken. For that, I will always love Tara and her death still kills me when I watch.
Hey, I know this question seems out of nowhere but I wanted to ask how you get the Buffy footage to put in a video. I have been wanting to make Buffy the Vampire Slayer videos for my channel but could never figure out how to get the footage on my computer or what editing software I would need. How do you do it?
I watched buffy very late, my dad watched it as it came out and every time he saw a character I had just met he would do a fake cry. I would role my eyes but when he saw Tara he couldn't listen to her words. I ended up googling Tara to see if her and Willow would get together and was spoiled to find out that Tara dies and I was upset but okay with it, it is until I watched all the episodes with Tara in and I forgot that she dies, in my head I knew she would but I didn't want to believe it when it happened I believed that because they could save buffy they could save Tara, but she didn't come back and I cried with Willow and refused to watch any episode afterwards because I was scared for Willow. I did end up watching the rest but I missed Tara.
i also miss my videos ahaha. university and jobs have been keeping me busy But i have about a million drafts of scripts that are just waiting for good intersection of motivation and free time so i am Still here just unfortunately quietly until i can pump out some coherent thoughts. but i appreciate this so much thank u friend!

Parlez nous de Willow et Tara mais ne salissez pas le lien qu'ont entretenues Riley et Buffy car, de toutes les histoires qu'a vécu notre héroïne c'étais la plus vraie, la plus sincère, la plus honnête et dévouée pour ces deux êtres là !!! Ensuite arrive Spike non contant d'avoir ruiné leur confiance mutuelle il s'immisce et parviens à ses fins c'est là que j'ai trouvé cela moche
i always loved riley until they started having problems . Some people dont like him bc they think he was boring, and that as buffy said is sorta what she wanted when she first started to date him. she wanted a normal guy. Riley was supportive and loving and understanding, he could keep up with her slayer lifestyle bc of his training in the initiative and i just loved him so much. i dont think buffy loved him as much as she did angel so i think that kinda tainted it. Unlike spike and angel, Riley was solid. he always stayed morally sound and he didnt ever harm buffy iin any way. he was respectful and a good character. i dont know how some people dont see that.

I have also looked at Tara and though we are coming from different perspectives I think we have a similar take! Tara's death was by far the worst decision from the people who made BTVS, she has always been one of my favourite characters. PS. Your voice reminds me of Andrew haha
