if anyone wants a fangame that sort of hits that dungeon crawling resource management vibe, give pokemon remenisence a try. its one of my favorite fan games ever with a roguelike inspired gameplay loop and it has a really cool story with built in speed up if youd rather ignore it
53:40 I was wondering why you didn't trade them to another file that had beaten the game to grind levels beforehand... I use that method when I played and didn't feel like grinding random wild encounters even in modern games
Amazing; great job!! 🔥🔥🔥 RIP DS/3DS WonderLockes… You’ll be dearly missed. 🥹🫡 You should try a regular or hardcore Nuzlocke the prototype of Red/Green and/or Gold/Silver.
The Alola games are my favorites because I like the battles and the story. I get that some people don't like either cutscenes or difficult battles and therefore don't like the games as much, but I at least like people to appreciate that the games are good, even if not to their preference.
Oh noooo Captain Kidd is quitting RU-vid! How terrible! Oh well I suppose it can’t be helped you should give me the channel I’ll take good care of it I’ll wonder trade you my channel and it’ll be perfectly timed don’t worry.
how to do the infinite life glitch in pokerouge: step one: lose a battle. step two: a few seconds before you black out, close the game. step three: reopen the game. if you did everything correctly, the battle should restart, giving you a second chance.
Wait wait wait they actually shut down the 3DS servers?? For what reason? I get that they eventually shut down the DSi servers and so on because of the 3DS but they didn't even release a new handheld yet?
If anyone is wondering, another reason is that Wonder Trade is now called Surprise Trade; so calling it "Wonderlocke" won't really fit the Switch titles. But seeing that that this is US/UM, it's moreso that we can't do it on official Nintendo servers.
I don't care about how hard this was because you had the audacity to name your Pokémon shit like "Subscribe" and then trade them away. Those names are now permanent, they can't be changed. I know it's probably not that big a deal, but it just feels so disrespectful and annoying.
@@AKAProm that’s part of the challenge, being disciplined and actually working for progress, while also paying attention so you dont unintentionally lose team members. Rare candies gets rid if both risk from nuzlockes
@@j.corbygaming "and then I lost a pokemon because I was reading chat" doesn't make for good story telling, sorry. Obviously if you're new to pokemon and don't know much then yes, wild encounters are going to be much more impactful but for people who know the game, it's just a waste of time. Realistically those players aren't going to lose any pokemon while grinding. It's only due to absolute boredom if that happens. I don't know, I'd rather someone be having fun with their game. Trying to set rigid rules for what is supposed to be a fun little alternative ruleset for a children's RPG is silly. Next you're gonna tell me they shouldn't use items in battle? No Pokecenter? It's all about the challenge, right?
Also you lose out on EVs with rare candies, there would’ve absolutely been deaths in the E4 if Kidd used rare candies due to not getting some crucial EVs in HP and the defenses
