where did i mess up? by the end of round 4 i have a flat circle, an exact semi circle when i fold it in half. i have to unravel again and figure where i went wrong
i did it again and i still just made a circle instead of something that curves like a hat it looks like a potholder. i want to make this hat so badly what am i doing wrong?😭
Keep going! The first 4 rounds have increases to make the circle bigger, so it will be flat. The next rounds have no more increases so it will start to curve in.
@@crochettoz i thought yours looked curved in the video after 4 rounds? Thank you so much for responding, i will keep going and see how it goes. Ill share when im complete!
this is just what i needed! i was making a small dinosaur and the tutorial i followed made weird round small bowls as spikes, which i hated the look of on my dino. i looked everywhere for a tutorial like this, and even tried to freehand it. THANK YOU SOOO MUCH! MY DINO WAS LOOKING SO PLAIN ❤🎉🙏
Great way to learn adding and dropping different color of yarns by working on small project. Better to start with red and work a few more rows of red and white than shown here to have proper balance, before switching to blue. The USA flag starts and ends with red rows. But I do thank you because I had no clue on crocheting a small flag.
This tutorial is absolutely incredible, you are a great teacher and this top is sooo pretty. I made it over the past 2 days and I’m so excited to wear it in Public. Thank u for this pattern!!
I want to make this but not sure if my yarn is ok to use because I have size 6 chenille yarn and not sure if that is ok to make hat out of or if I should make something else out of it
For future crocheters who have issues with the sizing because it’s a bit small, I did a few more increases to adjust the size. My round 2 had 24 stitches, my round 3 had 32 and my round 4 had 46 stitches and then I DC all around until the right length, came out the perfect one size fits all beanie!!
I'm a beginner crocheter and can I just say WOW of all the beginner hat tutorials out there (especially for the fuzzy Bernat yarn I was using) your video was without doubt the best! Clear, detailed, excellent close-ups of how to do each stitch, great lighting so it was very visible, and fun friendly music! Also I loved how you showed how to "feel" for the stitches even when it is fuzzy yarn like that, as I was really struggling to see where the next stitch would go. I had so much fun with this pattern that I finished the whole hat in one day! Thank you!!! ❤
i unraveled twice because each time i finished row 4 all i had made was a flat potholder that folded into a perfect semi circle. I think im following her exactly at the slip stitch, chain, and connecting points, and following stitch pattern. Any idea what i could be doing wrong?
I love your pattern but I see many have asked how much yarn to get. Maybe the better way to ask it, is How much yarn did YOU use to make this beach cover up?
I just made my third hat with this pattern. I used pink and the border is a pastel variegated yarn. It’s been a hit each time. Thanks for a nice pattern. ❤❤😊
Thank you so much - now the cat I’m crocheting can have pointy ears!!! No matter what other tutorial I followed, they were coming out round before and he just didn’t look like a cat!
