I am a DCS World content creator who likes to learn and share my experiance with all things surrounding flight simulators. Currently I almost exlusively fly DCS World but I hope to expand my horizons in the future. Join me on the journey of learning new aircraft and flying!
If you like games like War Thunder, MSFS and xPlane consider checking out DCS World by Eagle Dynamics. It is a flight simulator where you can simulate combat scenarios with very detailed and realistic aircraft like the F-16C, F-14, A-4E, MiG-29, Su-27, etc. With dogfights and BVR combat you can see aviation from a different point of view.
what are your settings? my base doesn't operate like yours. the stick eithers falls forward constantly or the trimmer pulls the stick up and doesn't stay where i trim it.
Same since last update, I currently just adjust the spring setting manually but you can try joining the Moza discord and following their troubleshooting steps
we bought the plane to ED not to Razbam, thats the point ED at least need to get the right of the modules and fix them or they should be removed from the stores with a full refund.
It's hard to get fully infatuated with a model aircraft and not worry about future support. Proper hits hard which is a huge disappointment in this day of age.
I love the harrier, one of my favourite dcs aircraft. Mirage and F15e are also great and the mig 19 is a classic. It’s sad to see this dispute as it really hurts the end user.
Good content, it's a shame that the wwii context is neglected by ED. Among the dcs warbirds, Anton is the most wronged; the version that was modeled by ED is the Early, with an obsolete engine, all real loadouts are not available, ED did not even add a pilot to the plane.
I have OCD and I cant stand the idea of a module stop working anywhere in the future, and if they work I cant stand the feeling of something not finished or with minor bugs
If I stop flying F-15E - then I stop flying in DCS. And if the rumors are confirmed that RAZBAM with MicroProse will create something where you can fly F-15C/E then I will definitely forget about DCS. For now, only F-15C and E and OH-58D keep me with DCS. I am not interested in the rest. And the fact that I am still playing with it is only a reality in which there is no - if only temporarily - alternative. Falcon BMS is slowly developing in the right direction, there is already a solidly made F-15C there, so the decision to leave DCS is slowly starting to mature...
It's a sad situation, no doubt about it. I asked for a refund for the F-15E when the radar stopped working, but since then I withdrew my request because I love this bird so much. I've been flying off camera, I've been creating missions for it that I intend to distribute to those who still fly it. On the other hand, making videos about it is a tough call: you run the risk of influencing people to buy a module that is unsupported. As someone has already said, maybe a disclaimer before each video will help out.
I know it isn't realistic but I find it much easier, safer and more effective to fly low level and loft them onto target. You can get a good 12 miles of loft with enough speed. especially as the sensor has a decent amount of gimble range.
ED Should take over all the RB modules. I only have F-15E, and I love it despite it is less than half finished. I don't want it to become another Hawk T-1
i still enjoy the strike eagle and i don’t give it up just yet. This kind if legal disputes can take a heck load of time, they are not making public statements because if they say just a tiny bit too much it could be used against them in court. I once heard of a lawsuit about a couple of dollars and bad service from a cab driver, crap tool almost 2 years till the customer got his 15$ back and got compensated for the troubles.
Why this clickbait video? Let them fix the situation and fly the modules. Would I buy another Razbam module anytime soon? Probably not, but I fly the ones I have. You don't add anything to the situation by doing this video. No news, no nothing. Not even educational. Just another vulture.
I am new to DCS and wanted to buy the mirage 2000. Then found out that ED and Razbam were not one the same page, so to say. So bought the F5 and F14 instead during the last sale. I hope Razbam will come back to support their modules
@@dcs_one I really hope they do. But if it is true that they are working with microprose on a new game then I think the chance of them returning is small I'm afraid
What people tend to overlook when evaluating a fighter's combat value is the whole context of the environment it's designed for. Albeit it may be true that the Fw-190 requires more discipline when approaching a fight, it is highly potent when you add wingmen and a multi-threat environment - simply due to it's firepower and ruggedness. A 2- or 4-ship of Antons or Doras flown well by experienced pilots is very difficult to beat. A 2- or 4-ship of Spitfires Mk.IX - despite being the best dogfighter on paper - is very easy to beat by a disciplined pilot in any German aircraft due to their speed advantage. In fact, if you enter the arena with an altitude advantage, you can beat such a formation of Spits alone or retreat if it gets too hot. The 109 - in contrast to the 190s does not carry weapons very suitable for dogfights. Due to the poor ballistics of the 30 mm cannon, you're basically down to 2x 13 mm MGs in a turnfight unless you are really, really close or a very gifted marksman. This means that the 109 must get much closer to its prey than the 190s and that makes a big difference in a tactical environment. The Fw-190's nickname "Butcherbird" was a reputation earned in earnest and this plane lived up to it. To sum up: All three platforms are very potent in a tactical environment. What you should choose depends heavily on what you personally prefer. The 109 and the Anton are certainly more recent modules and it shows that the Dora is already a bit older. Much like P51 vs. P47.
You overthink things my friend. Just fly the modules you enjoy, until they break (if they break). Only at that point, is it worth talking about breaking modules. And, just maybe a small disclaimer on videos that potentially, maybe (nobody knows yet) razbam modules may cease to work one day.
I have the K4 and the Dora...I love the K4. I just can't click with the Dora for some reason. I stand a chance against a P51 in the K4 (As long as I have fuel) but the Dora, I never want to tango.
@@chrisolsen5280 dude, the Dora is amazing! It's fast as hell so keep that speed up and High Yo Yo, be patient and if you end up in a pickle, outrun them in a climb!
If rumors are true, razbam is the bad guy here. It seems they are working with microprose on a standalone f15 sim in the background since a while If that’s true, it is completely understandable ED pissed off. Sad situation, m2000 and AV8B are on my favorite module list.
For me it's the K-4 hands down. I've come to accept that while they all have much to offer, I enjoy the process of flying the 109 the most. I like that its performance gives you many different ways to approach a dogfight, whereas the FW-190 has one strategy it has to use in all situations. If you aren't in a position to do that one thing, you'll lose. The P-51 outperforms the D-9 across the board, even if only slightly in some areas, but that lack of tactical flexibility really becomes a problem against a similarly capable opponent.
You're operating under the assumption that dcs itself will keep snd maintain its modules forever. In reality, dcs itself may end up fading away. Their business model is, if you buy a new module, dcs makes money and keeps making content. This can't last forever as eventually people will lose interest, they won't have enough drive space and they'll love on with their lives. So my advice is, if you like it. Fly it.
Exactly. If one day, for some reason, the servers stop working... All your invested money and your hours of enjoyment will be dust in the wind. Enjoy it while it lasts.
Well I think NOT flying the Razbam modules only Hurts Razbam and the DCS community. I do not think this is something we need to worry ourselves with. This kind of stuff happens all the time in business and ED and Razbam will work this out. I don’t think harping on this situation does ANYONE any good and only makes people look like Drama Queens when they discuss something they have absolutely zero proof or zero knowledge of what the contractual obligations are. So if you Want to SEE the F15E, AV8B, Mirage 2000c and the MiG-19 head on over to MY Channel because I’ll be putting out missions and flight/ aviation related material using ALL Razbam products until they come out with a PUBLIC statement on this issue telling me Not to!!! I think putting out Razbam content helps them and helps the DCS community as a whole and thats what I am ALL About. While I understand everyone is entitled to their opinion and they can do what they wish I will continue to support Razbam and ED and be putting out a constant stream of Razbam module videos. In fact I just released one a few days ago with the F15E Strike Eagle in it. Stop on by bud! I’d love to see you there and keep up the great work as far as your other videos. I love your stuff! Hey and no worries as far as this video and your opinion I understand. Cheers
By all means, we have paid for the modules we have every right to fly them. I just don’t want anyone to buy a module to be disappointed that you can’t even fly it. Of course currently that is mostly only a problem with the M2K but who knows what will happen in a month. Glad you enjoy the content! Will have a look at your content too! :)
I really hope they resolve it. The F-15E is probably my favourite aircraft to fly in DCS. It feels like it was built for me. 12 bombs + 4 missiles with space left over for either 3 external fuel tanks or 3 more bombs. It carries so much fuel (even without drop tanks) that for most of my sorties I can be in full AB all the time. It’s so fast and powerful I can bravely run away from my enemies even while climbing. I don’t mind the bad TGP alot, I like striking strategic targets and bunkers so I mostly use 2000lb JDAMs with the A/G radar. The few times I use the TGP though it sucks and I would really like to see the litening or even the sniper TGPs
OK so, you know those things have cannons right? Looks like you were just using your machine guns. You have to assign a button to the trigger cover and then the cannon fire to get them working in most German DCS warbirds.
100 percent agree, it's a real shame. I was just starting to explore the Strike Eagle and was finding it very interesting. I really hope this gets resolved but I'm not holding my breath. If Microprose is working with Razbam I think it's an extremely bad move. Today's Microprose isn't the Microprose of the DOS era and associating themselves with Razbam would be, for me at least, a deal killer.
I really love the Dora. I’d prefer it was a D-12 or 13, with the same or near enough firepower as the Anton, but even so. It’s my favourite warbird. Thing is, unless you ‘fly’ multiplayer (I don’t) there’s bugger all content for it. No official campaigns at all. While I’m wishing for different things, it would be nice if the Anton had the slightly better engine tuning, the one that was in all Antons after the first few went out with the uprated engine. Greg of Greg’s Planes and Automobiles talks about it. And I’d also like the 109 to be a G-14 or even G-10. That slow 108 30 mm is great for bombers but terrible for dog fights - It runs through ammo in seconds. I have used a mod which swaps it for the 20mm at it absolutely kills it in dog fights. I suppose they do it the way they do for balance reasons, but I’d prefer it wasn’t the way it is. Still, I really love the D-9.
I've flown all 3 (trialled the 2 FW-190's and I own the 109). From my experience... The Dora - I didn't get on with this aircraft at all. Didn't think much of it as a fighter and is not as tough as the Anton The Anton - Played through Reflected Simulations Horrido! campaign with it. Kind of enjoyed flying it by the end of the campaign, but in my opinion its to be regarded as ground attack and Bomber intercept. It really struggles against Allied aircraft in dogfights. The 109 is the opposite of the Anton, a thoroughbred fighter capable of holding its own against any Allied aircraft, but is vulnerable to AAA in ground attack.
