Thanks for the great question! Neither. I like a META that is challenging yet each base can be completed with a good strategy. This Season is a great example of that, and I am having a lot of fun with it. Yesterday, as the bases at 4 Engines got dirtier, I added Scorchers to my Troop mix and am now running 4 Scorchers and 4 Warriors with Kavan 2nd Wind.
Thanks for a great question! I used to use RZCM all the time, however it is now outdated with the current META. I use RCM with Laser Rangers in Smokey attacks against bases with fewer ice statues. With the current Tribe Cycle helping Heavies, I am using one or two Landing Craft of Heavies in some Smokey attacks starting from the right rear corner or left rear corner. Some players are still using Heavy Zooka Smokey Flash Kills against low ice bases. I also beat a very hard to beat 9 boosted ice base earlier today using one Landing Craft of Heavies instead of a Landing Craft of Scorchers in that attack.
Thanks for asking a great question! Global Leaderboard players usually play with only 3 Boosted Offensive Statues and 9 Boosted Ice Statues. With low offense and low initial GBE, Bullit is very useful for some kinds of attacks. They generally don’t use Kavan since effect use of Second Wind requires a lot of GBE. They also frequently use Everspark to beat 2 Grappler bases and Brick to smash bases with low or no Ice Statues using a smokey Rush involving a Heavy Zooka attack.
Hi Zeus what troop combos do you recommend for non it players who want to get on the top leaderboard and what combos do you think that they should avoid using them?
As a non-IT player I reached Global #99 position, and that was the best I could do, however since then the Game’s player spawning rules have changes radically. I actually do think it is currently possible for a non-IT player to reach the Global Leaderboard. Now with the 2 hour gap between attacks, you can use any Troop combo you want and spawn the optimal Troops required for that attack within the two hour window. To reach the Global Leaderboard at this point, you will likely need at least 5 continuously Boosted Ice Statues. Perhaps more. Good luck!
Thanks for sharing. Since the last update, i am stucked and cant increase my vp. The new match making is certainly biased towards those with multi ice statues. Dont want to deploy ice statues and thus, cant get up. This last update really made the game quite a bit less enjoyable for offensive players.

Thanks for asking a great question! On Global #1’s base, the front Bunker has 2 Cryoneers, the rear Bunker has 1 Bombardier. For a 9 Boosted Ice Base like what Global #1 has, this isn’t a bad idea, as I have had experiences where in the end game with a base like this, the final Bombardier hunts down my last few Troops and kills them with long range mortars, and my Troops are positioned to beat the HQ and no defenses are in range. For my base, using only 4 Boosted Ice, I am using the Bunkers to protect against Smokey attacks with flash kills using Heavies and Zookas or Warriors, so it makes more sense for me to use 2 Cryoneers in each.
Awesome attacks! Your videos really helped me when #1 populated on my map back before the latest update. I went from 1698 vp to 1649 vp after the update. Any advice on how to raise my vp???
That is awesome about beating Global #1!!! Regarding pushing towards the Leaderboard, I have a few questions and suggestions: How many Ice Statues do you have deployed? If you can have at least 4 boosted Ice Statues, it will be a lot easier to progress. Also, what Prototype Defenses do you have deployed? I find that a mix of a Grappler, a SIMO, a Doom Cannon and a Shield Gen helps to deter attacks. Lastly, are you clearing all player bases that populate on your map every 2 hours unless you are sleeping, and are you sleeping more than 3 cycles of player spawns? It’s best if you don’t get to four cycles while sleeping.
@@zeushercules9110 Thank you for your quick reply! I really appreciate it! I have 0 ice statues. 2 hot pots 1 sky shield 1 shock blaster. I always keep my map clear except when sleeping. Then only 3/3 bases on my map when I wake up. Looks like I need to deploy some ice and change my proto defenses. Thank you for the suggestions. Also you raided my base a few times and vice versa. Remember Israel #1 !!!
I recall your base. Without any Ice Statues, it will be very difficult for you to progress. A minimum of 2 Ice Masterpieces boosted is required, and more likely in addition 1 or 2 Ice Guardians boosted will be required to increase your Victory Points. This will make attacking more difficult however it is necessary.
