I have gotten into arguments with some high paid consultants over carpet in booth. Blew my mind he was trying to force us to put it in a booth. Especially from someone in his position
Hi guys, I’ve made my living from the Spraybooth industry for 40years and it’s it’s music to my ears listening to this post. Spraybooths are an environmental horror story, vast amounts of air required for effective overspray removal whilst only a small amount required for LEL solvent control. Energy requirements for heating this air is huge (here in Northern Europe we design to 60kw to heat 10,000cu.m/hr for 25degC temperature rise.) result in high cost to heat the air and a waste of energy. Whilst I was Technical Director at Spraybake UK I designed the first Automotive refinishing recirculating Spraybooth in the late 1980’s. But energy was cheap back then so the take up wasn’t huge. I then designed the Tempo moving Spraybooth for my own company, Spraybooth Technology Ltd, some 15 years ago. 75% recirculating and all Electric. All of our Aircraft refinishing booths installed throughout Europe have featured this technology together with high profile designs for UK MOD Fast Jet facilities and the latest Astute Class submarine BAE facility in the UK. With Gas and Oil prices ramping up here in Europe it’s a no brainer! This is the way forward, love what you’re doing. Take care guys👍

Hi Vincenth, Our REVO products are sold through our distribution channels. If you'd like to get in contact with your local distributor, please let us know and we can connect you. Thank you!
Hi Ed - Vacuums, brooms and mops can pass over PIG Grippy Mat without damaging the mat or affecting its grip. For stubborn stains that do not come out during normal cleaning, use a stiff bristle brush with regular floor cleaning solution to agitate and loosen the stain. The PIG Grippy Mat usually dries in less than five hours. Standard fans or floor blowers can be used to accelerate drying. For extremely wet conditions, you can speed up the drying process by removing the water using a wet/dry vacuum or dry mop.
Hi Arun! Sorry for the delay in our response! We recommend our Peelable White Water Based for paint booth walls. Here's the link: globalfinishing.com/product/booth-shield/ Let us know if you have any additional questions! Thanks :)
You guys sure seem to have a lot of good videos and a very good on-line presence. To bad your distributor in our area has no interest in returning phone calls or looking at new projects.
Travis - We're disappointed to hear about your negative experience with your local GFS distributor. Please send us a message at info@globalfinishing.com so we can look into this issue and ensure you receive excellent service from our distributors.
And when you purchase and or install a paint booth is the diffuser installed with the assembly or is that something that needs a consultation and and special fitment for your booth?
Not very often, frankly. I have installed 367 paintbooths in 38 years, east to west, north to south, and I mostly see concrete floors. Some painted, some coated, some with carpet, some use roofing felt, and a few use commercially available products made specifically for spray booths. The industry is constantly evolving, new ideas and products come and go. Most shops have to go with whats gets the best results with the least expense and down-time.
Good afternoon. Jason speaks on the topic of color temperature just after the 7-minute mark. The difference between the left and right booth is the difference between our fluorescent lights and LED lights, which is mentioned right after the introductions at the 45-second mark. Thank you!
Pig Mat or not, vacuuming regularly is the most cost effective way to keep the trash out of your paint job, since the surface of bare concrete is very porous, as seen under magnification, where it looks like craters on the moon, so it traps dry overspray and dirt, until the painter walks by, drags the hose across the floor, or has to get low with the spray gun. A cheap $99.00 canister vac with hepa filtration works wonders.
Ivan down to earth Mopar fan. Bark those so much about Mopars I enjoy watching Graveyard Carz I can appreciate his knowledge of Mopars. But I have one question why does he act like a complete ass?
Hi Cameron, that would depend on if the booth is pressurized or non-pressurized. You would only keep the booth running if it was pressurized. Thank you!
