On this channel, we're gonna discuss Rock n' Roll to its fullest among three decades. We're gonna discuss the life lessons we can take from these artists and bands that can help us excel and find our own passion and success in life. Trust me, there are plenty of great things that have happened in rock history that we can take notes on, LET'S GO!
Had a sweet tape growing Punkorama pretty sure was the name of the cassette... It had a all of those bands on it and then some reason i became a drummer!!!

If you've never been in a band and played live you wouldn't know how contentious it can get between members about instrument volume. A guitarist can drown out the singer a lot of timss if he wants, for example. If Perry thought Dave was doing it intentionally, he would think its fighting words really
Jane’s Addiction is a good band musically. Perry is a horrible singer with subpar lyrics. He’s nothing more than a ringmaster for quasi counterculturists. He’s a tramp stamp tattoo…
It isn't the first time this has happened. I went to the first lollapalooza in Phoenix 1991 and Janes headlined. They were the only band I HAD to see. 19 yrs old fresh on my own. Myself and a group of friends went and it was HOT 🔥 LIKE definitely made people testy (Trent Reznor NIN threw a huge tantrum during his opener 'head like a hole' and just walked off). My poor friend Annette went just for him. Anyhow Janes were about 3/4 of way thru set and I forget which song (they played a fantastic 3 days OMG) DV and PF went at it but Dave definitely fought back that time and home tossed his Ibanez into the crowd which caused a mini riot. Anyway, they did eventually get back onstage to finish the show and that's all I cared about right then. P.S funny note- I caught glimpse of a dude running out of the foray with just the guitar neck! Good times
@daerganguy7504 That's an awesome story and it sounds like it was "Mostly" a blast. These are the stories and memories rock music gives us and that can't be replaced, I absolutely love it. Also I know the guys will get past this but their on the backend of their career so they need to remember why the started the band in the first place and go out with a bang giving the fans that love them what they want. Thanks for watching and supporting the channel 🤙 🙏
I saw Dave Navarro with his body guard in the meatpacking district down in NYC after work around 2016. There was nobody around, and I was surprised that he was right in front of me. I was reserved and respectfully asked if we could take a picture and he said no without even looking me in the eye. Kinda bummed me out. 🤷🏻♂️
Whoever grabbed him away from Dave, had enough of Perrys shit. You can see him uppercut him 3 or 4 times, lol. Like , snap the F out of it bro, punch punch punch. Lol
Easily Adam because you can tell Matt tries to replicate certain aspects of Adams voice at certain points in songs and it just won’t ever happen. It’s not the same!
@SomethingAboutBeautee love the comment and absolutely agree. Which is why it's hard to see a band you love get taken over by a new lead singer no matter the circumstance. But yes you are right, it hurts to see Matt try to replicate what Adam does for certain songs. Thanks for watching and supporting the channel 🤙 🙏
Nice blend of information and opinion. Like most people here, I wondered what became of them too, because like you said, that first release was amazing. And yeah, keeping in line with a fan base in music is beyond hard, as shown by how many bands actually succeed at doing it. Writing hit songs is so hard that even the greatest musicians are excited to have 2 on each album out of 8-12 songs. It's also crazy hard to predict what will click and won't with audience. Being a pro is showing up and doing the job right, being a star requires magic. It looks like they ran out of magic. Bummer.
@bloodshotred6334 Yes sir, DFL. That is another part of our music history that is probably forgotten my most, even if it was a little chess it was still pretty cool
Absolutely, that was definitely another big statement colab that shouldn't be understated or forgotten about. Thanks for watching and supporting the channel 🤙 🙏
even before i knew beasties boys started off in the punk scene i always kinda saw them that way. kinda like how eminems first 2 albums felt like nu metal albums without guitars
@SecretSocietyofGoths I really like how you put that. Sometimes no matter what we try to do we can't mask who we are and some people can see right through the facade. Not saying that's what the Beastie Boys Hip-hop career was but you could clearly see that had other influences. Thanks for watching and supporting the channel 🤙 🙏
@@RockTalkWithMike yea absolutely and sometimes it just the over attitude of the over all record. one time i drunkly made a real good case for straight outta compton being seen as a punk album
@SecretSocietyofGoths You know what I've never heard anybody make that argument or try to make that case but I can absolutely stand by it and believe it to be just that especially when you look at the lyrics on the album and what punk rock music was meant to symbolize it could easily be labeled as that. Regardless of the style of music, Straight Outta Compton could definitely be a punk album due to the context. Again thank you for the comment and supporting the channel 🤙 🙏
@JokersNtheOddball As more time goes by I really hope people don't forget what these guys influence was and how massive they were. Thanks for the comment also thanks for watching and supporting the channel 🤙 🙏
@thegixxer73 Thank you for the comment and that is definitely a different and unique way to look at things but I like it. Thanks for watching and supporting the channel 🤙 🙏

@ronjames4151 Thank you for leaving the comment and I gotta be honest. That's why I love music so much. Go look at all the comments and you see how many people love hinder but yet there are some people like yourself that don't like them and believe their just not that good. It's just amazing how some people can love so.ething so much and others can think there is not much there. Thanks for watching and supporting the channel 🤙 🙏
@@RockTalkWithMike I try my best to give bands a try. The music is just simple and the lyrics are terrible with no substance. There is a reason rock is irrelevant right now as far as mainstream and bands like hinder are the reason. This is wine mom rock. It barely can be called rock it's so tame. I like all music from NWA to Elton John but this music is really boring and lacks substance. These guys write music to sell records not to express themselves and it shows. We need rock with a little heart in it.
@ronjames4151 I absolutely love the comment and 100 percent agree. Thanks for taking the time to let me know what you think and like I said it is just amazing to hear how opinions can go so far In different directions when it comes to certain bands and that's what makes each of us unique with who we are because we all have the ability to feel something different then the next person.
Hinder, Flaming Lips, Nixons, Chainsaw Kittens, All American Rejects, Anti🔥Mortem, Kings of Leon, Oliver Magnum, PowerLord, Otis Watkins/NADZ, Mystery Machine, Uncle Bill, FORTE, 36 Inches, LURE, Erotic Suicide, CARNAGE,Daddy Warbucks, Angel White, Malice Deride, the Treatment,EZ-Access,Jim the Elephant, Martini Kings, EVERYBODY PANIC, RiKetS, And im forgetting many, many more..o.
