Gives me hope that M25 or M26 might be good! But if they're only adding in a few new runners each year and everyone else gets the default animation... 🤢
@@SimFootballFanatic if u think about it college football is realistic because it’s kind of like watching football on tv because everything is fast paced
That's basically a small compliment to EA because it's actually a different sprinting animation. I think it's better than M24 in my personal opinion. Signature styles is nice but I guess that means a lot of players will get the generic running animation 🤢
Some players have decent animations but are moving at warp speed because the game isn't sim. If M25 players move like this but slower and smoother, we might have a decent game to look forward to. If not, it'll be another year of M21 for me 🤣
My only critique is the speed cap on the QB because of the wonky running animation lol I got hawked a few times when I shouldn't have but EA had to nerf scrambling QBs somehow lol
Because M21 is overall a smoother and slower game. I prefer this Madden over 24 and probably 25. I want to give 25 a chance. Signature styles will go a long way I think. But that also means rookies need to randomly get assigned a style too. Hopefully they do that in a later release
@@WildLionGames I recommend: All Pro or All Madden Competitive style (less scripting) Very Slow Speed & 100 Threshold or Slow Gameplay Speed & 0 Threshold That's how you achieve the fluid gameplay.
Idk bro I’m on the fence about getting this game too. I just wish the tackling didn’t look so glitchy. Sounds like there’s not much emphasis on defense either. I need more time to decide haha It just really hurts when they had the technology before for better physics but they don’t care. It truly is a monopoly.
It's not a sim game, that's for sure. It has good graphics and it plays as if someone swapped your game to Arcade game style. It's over the top offensive plays. I watched a bunch of videos yesterday about some meta defense plays. I'm not sure it'll help. Lol. Basically, you need to focus on building your defense in this game to correct it. Namely pursuit and tackling lol
Honestly, only one fumble in this game was legitimate. The other fumbles were me waiting a millisecond too late to pitch the ball. You can pretty much pitch the ball even as you're getting tackled, it's super forgiving.
Yeah, it's definitely arcade. Designed for high scoring matches and minimal defense. I couldn't even scheme my way into stopping opponents. I barely beat UAB at their place on All American lol they were +4 OVR though so I had to steal a possession or two.
@@SimFootballFanatic yeah I said the same exact thing. it feels more like an arcade game than everything. the lack of coaching in the gameplay really took me out it. I can spend hours in nba 2k coming up with different defensive gameplans for each team and drawing up plays for the offense. didn't feel that in this game
I'm not sure if the playbooks are correct, or if Navy doesn't have a simple cover two man play in 3-4 or Nickel but I was forced to run cover 1 almost the whole game. I could be wrong but I expected every team to have a simple cover two man in every formation 🤷
I'm almost tempted to buy it just because it's the first college football game in a decade. I mostly spend my time in the menus anyway but this game has me losing my mind on defense.
I know you're right, but the gameplay speed happens so fast and the give/keep button is backwards on this game. You hold to keep Instead of hold to give.
The key on the dive is the DE in the game but because he doesn't commit/freeze until right at the mesh point, it's hard to decide because of the gameplay happening at warp speed. Madden makes this way easier because it's more polished. I basically decided to give my WB/QB more touches and then give into the FB on 2nd down assuming we gained at least 4 yards.
Honestly i didnt really like these tackle animations...its still looks like some amatour 50 yrs old ex football players wearing a mocap suit and making the safest tackles on each other lol
The HB carries the ball like we did in the back yard as kids, WRs too. The QB runs like a drunk uncle in flip flops lol The FB is the only one with a half decent running animation 🤣
@@SimFootballFanatic i hope 2k gonna get the license one day and make a good NFL game, i cant play madden...its just soo videogame-is for me its more like an arcade game that you play on gamecube or nintendo switch than a simulator lol
Oh for sure! The scouting and recruiting, the option, the variety of schools, there's tons of big plays! It's definitely got a fun factor that reminds me of Madden 25. I just struggled getting used to the new passing because I've been using traditional passing forever. Not to mention I shanked a field goal horribly at half lol
@SimFootballFanatic lol the new kicking system is hard but I love the the new passing system I can actually put the ball where I want and throw over defenders
I found our visual sim works the same as Madden but idk man. Gameplay just doesn't quite hit like I thought it would. If I got it for free, I'd play it. But I'm not sure if I'm going to pay $70 for this one. I have a little longer left of my trial. I haven't even made it through a full season.
So I was using my tablet as my screen through a HDMI capture device, which adds input delay. But that was a 90 overall Notre Dame versus a '74 overall Navy on All American. Our defense had no shot at stopping them so I just played offense only lol
A guy named Tim in the discord talked about possibly updating M18 so you may be in luck! Not sure if he's going to update a roster file or franchise file. But it may come your way.
@@michaelhopson6342 the lighting hurts my eyes lol seriously. It looks to have too much grey in the color. I personally don’t care for it. The gameplay is pretty good though yes and maybe the best overall gameplay of the 3 but yeah 21 has better player movement imo. Close though.
@@simheadacademy2569I love madden 18 it does has the better lightning . How it hurt your eyes lol maybe turn down your brightness. I love it because it photo realistic and I love the gameplay. just nba 2k14 has the better lighting than nba 2k24 next gen. Madden 16 I love too but I won’t name all my favorite but I do love madden 18 lol
That's literally the only thing stopping me from maining that game. The way players run like they're carry a loaf of bread, and also the limp ragdoll with magnetic hands that just kinda stick as they're falling to the ground 🤣 But even then, fix the running or ragdoll and I'd like this game the most. The animations you have on tackles and break tackles are actually quite well done.
@@SimFootballFanatic all the Maddens have issues honestly. We have to deal with it. Madden has never had great gameplay. Some say Madden from the PS2 era but even that has issues. It didn’t have a physics system so anytime you would run up the middle you wouldn’t move the pile or truck through your player would just get stuck. Some say Madden 25 had really good gameplay but yeah it had its flaws too. WR’s wouldn’t go up and get the ball good until Madden 16 even though yes it was OP. I found while playing if I let the CPU do the catching it does play more to the ratings rather than user control. Anyways none of these Maddens have great gameplay. It comes to which is fun and which can be realistic for the most part.
21 Next Gen is underrated. The movement looks really good, even compared to 24, which is saying something. Every time EA have a good thing going, they mess it up 🤣
@@SimFootballFanaticthey don’t like that frost bite engine my man. I do agree. They need to change the engine and the coding. They said madden 21 was the worse madden because bugs and glitches, and gameplay. I don’t think they will never go back to it and some of these old madden. I stop buying madden after 22. I got tired of them long lol I’m sticking to my old madden.
M21 may have had a bunch of bugs and glitches but as someone who played through 4 seasons on the next gen version, I only ever really encountered bugs with player intros not centering player name and position, and also the UI bug that lead to my franchise getting accidentally deleted. As far as gameplay goes, I like the ball carrier movement and 0 threshold looks like a good speed imo. The tackles can have a slight pinball effect, but it's honestly worse on 24, as showcased by my video a while back. I'm hopeful unique run styles will begin to fix that either this year or next year so I can finally buy the new Madden instead of waiting for it to hit gamepass 🤣
@@SimFootballFanatic lool I feel u but we need to wait and see how well it plays because EA known for taking out and bring back in which I don't understand. they should of never change the running style but to improve them. I hate how they run on madden 24 lool
I’d say next gen M21. The player movement is the best. Graphics look the best also. Madden 18 and 19 were doing weird things with the colors of the game and honestly it’s a pain to my eyes to look at. Madden 18 would be second for me. It has the physical out of the 3.
@@SimFootballFanatic well maybe for you lol. I enjoy Madden 16 and 17 and like I was saying I am in the process of updating the roster to current today roster. It’s going to take me awhile lol
Player matching is literally the worst part of any game pre-19, unless you do 18 in franchise mode. That's why I'm not bothering with the older ones. That's 3hrs a night for ONE team (just starters lol) It takes me 2 hours right now for a full team with a lite roster. That's more manageable imo. I haven't played 16 but I prefer 18 over 17. I've been watching a bunch of videos on 15, not half bad. Player models are way better than 25
@@SimFootballFanatic 15 has better graphics, player models. Player movement and player control is similar but a little worse id say. Also running around with the QB is weird lol. It doesn’t feel like scrambling it feels like sprinting around with good control then once you leave the pocket and starting actually running control feels pretty bad.
@simheadacademy2569 that's very weird, scrambling that gets worse once you get past the LOS. M19 is pretty bad at scrambling too. You don't run nearly as fast as you should for some reason. Maybe it's an intentional nerf, but it's not like they have Vick in his prime in the game.
Was snooping through and man this Madden was one of the best honestly. Top 5 id say. It sits at 5 for me, 1. Madden 07 GC,PS2,360 even though I can’t play it anymore lol. It’s overplayed for me. 2.Madden 17 PS3,360 3.Madden 25 PS3,360 4.Madden 17 PS4,XB1 5.Madden 25 PS4,XB1 that 5 spot always changes for me though lol.
This is actually before I discovered the threshold setting is actually hidden in franchise mode but is available just like in quick play lol I was bouncing between Very Slow and Slow if I remember correctly
I was listening to your video while working and there was this long silence at the beginning and I thought maybe my headphones broke 🤣 I'll be relying on you for CB25 gameplay because I'm tied up with various football games and roster possibilities. I would love to see a Navy Rebuild with emphasis of speed on defense, and speed at tailback 😉
@@SimFootballFanatic haha yea didn't upload the one where I clipped that part out lmao. Currently working on a road to glory with kent state. the military academies showed heavy interest but I declined lol
@@SimFootballFanatic yea I was up till 3 am last night and was too tired to check lol. I'm going to start my dynasty at a 1 star but might move to navy as I work my way up
Bro there’s a weird glitch where for some odd reason, when my player makes a big play, they slow down when they’re about to get to the end zone or forces me to stop running. Is there a fix for this?
@@SimFootballFanatic I can’t tell if it’s the controller or not. But I typically play on arcade mode. The fatigue set to 50 and the parity scale set to 15 or lower to 0. And whenever I break for a big play they for some weird reason just starting jogging or just come to a complete stop when a defensive player is near by
@BooMerAnimations I've never tried arcade but I can't imagine that would make your player completely stop, unless he's 100% out of stamina and he starts walking lol
@@SimFootballFanatic yeah I feel like blowing out MADDEN 21 or 22 , thoses are just faster to do , just need your 11 starters , full wr cast , and just give certain back ups no name lol it’s how I do mine
@@VV_Skins Lite rosters are going to be my method moving forward. It's just faster and at the very least, the player will have the foundation to be molded into who they are. Lol. I'm having a hard time deciding on which game to update. I love the gameplay of APF but there's no franchise so it'd get boring after one season. 18, 19, or 21 seems more reasonable.
@@SimFootballFanatic college football 25 road to glory can transfer to Madden 25 (the upcoming one lol) nfl superstar mode. Pretty excited for Madden this year too but first I’m going to non stop play college football 25
@@FearSpartans I'm torn on what to do. Updated rosters for older games is kinda my thing, I'm just not sure which game to do it for. Everyone's voting for 2K8 but that game crashes at least once a day for me and the franchise is just one season 😂
