So I was using my tablet as my screen through a HDMI capture device, which adds input delay. But that was a 90 overall Notre Dame versus a '74 overall Navy on All American. Our defense had no shot at stopping them so I just played offense only lol
Oh for sure! The scouting and recruiting, the option, the variety of schools, there's tons of big plays! It's definitely got a fun factor that reminds me of Madden 25. I just struggled getting used to the new passing because I've been using traditional passing forever. Not to mention I shanked a field goal horribly at half lol
@SimFootballFanatic lol the new kicking system is hard but I love the the new passing system I can actually put the ball where I want and throw over defenders
I found our visual sim works the same as Madden but idk man. Gameplay just doesn't quite hit like I thought it would. If I got it for free, I'd play it. But I'm not sure if I'm going to pay $70 for this one. I have a little longer left of my trial. I haven't even made it through a full season.
Honestly i didnt really like these tackle animations...its still looks like some amatour 50 yrs old ex football players wearing a mocap suit and making the safest tackles on each other lol
The HB carries the ball like we did in the back yard as kids, WRs too. The QB runs like a drunk uncle in flip flops lol The FB is the only one with a half decent running animation 🤣
@@SimFootballFanatic i hope 2k gonna get the license one day and make a good NFL game, i cant play madden...its just soo videogame-is for me its more like an arcade game that you play on gamecube or nintendo switch than a simulator lol
Yeah, it's definitely arcade. Designed for high scoring matches and minimal defense. I couldn't even scheme my way into stopping opponents. I barely beat UAB at their place on All American lol they were +4 OVR though so I had to steal a possession or two.
@@SimFootballFanatic yeah I said the same exact thing. it feels more like an arcade game than everything. the lack of coaching in the gameplay really took me out it. I can spend hours in nba 2k coming up with different defensive gameplans for each team and drawing up plays for the offense. didn't feel that in this game
I'm not sure if the playbooks are correct, or if Navy doesn't have a simple cover two man play in 3-4 or Nickel but I was forced to run cover 1 almost the whole game. I could be wrong but I expected every team to have a simple cover two man in every formation 🤷
I'm almost tempted to buy it just because it's the first college football game in a decade. I mostly spend my time in the menus anyway but this game has me losing my mind on defense.
