Longboard R&D would be my dream job honestly looks so cool how they are constantly looking for better performance and new techniques and then just get to make it and try it out.
Which Meepo Mini did you review? That doesn't appear to be the Mini 5. I just got a Mini 5 and the remote has no LED display at all. Push resistance is also pretty high.
pity the meepo is ugly AF compared to the bustin front and back, maybe if u could put the meepo parts in the bustin deck and enclosure, then ud have the ultimate board.
Very nice video, with insights here and there! My favourites are the progressive wheel weels and the Jehu bearings actually containing 8 balls, so... the small balls 🤣🤣
I disagree completely with you. You comparement is just not acurate. The camcorder has a lot of advantages and to name one you also can feed the camcorder with a usb powerbank.
I relativly recently got an 2004 XJR I am still figuring out the small differences, mine still has a cassette deck and blue tooth wasnt a thing yet, though I got the cranberry on black leather and dark wood in return. The one thing I do envy is the wood on the steering wheel. (Also got a motorola car phone in mine )
The main differences between XJR and SV8 are in the interior use of wood with gold pinstripe, the tray tables and the grade of Connolly leather. The exterior on the SV8 has lots of chrome, the XJR deletes almost all of the SV8 chrome, even what is on the standard XJ, and replaces it with body-color accents. The XJR got active sport air suspension, the SV8 got active comfort air suspension. The XJR had a bunch of options, the SV8 had most of those options as standard.
Points you haven't made: 1. The camcorder has both an external mic socket and a headphone socket. Sound is very important for video. The GX80/GX85 has neither, so you have to pay for and carry some kind of external recording device (at least another $100?) to get good sound for serious videos. 2. The screen on the GX80/GX85 doesn't let you see yourself when recording, which means that just to get framing, you have to a) sync with the Lumix app b) use an external monitor or c) get one of those mirror boxes which sit in the hotshoe mount, which are all clunky solutions that get old fast. 3. Few people will want to steal your camcorder. 4. It's fairly easy to hold a camcorder to do smooth pans and zooms. 5. It's impossible to do a smooth zoom with that kit lens on the camera, nifty though it is, nor can you even focus manually. The lens on the camcorder allows you to do smooth zooms and is suited for wildlife and sports and even shows and concerts, which otherwise would require very long, heavy, and expensive lenses. Also, you can set it to manual focus on that Panasonic series, or set the focus ring to control zoom or aperture instead. 6. There is an infrared night mode on the camcorder as well, also useable for wildlife or effect. In other words, what you're paying for with the camcorder is an amazing superzoom lens and an all-in-one solution for video at long-range plus vlogging/filming yourself. If the sensor were bigger, the lens would have to be bigger and the price would go up astronomically. If you want to do atmospheric shots at night for extensive colour grading, I would get something else, but it wouldn't be the GX80, which is an all-in-one versatile solution for photos and video, but needs various accessories (audio/video/other lenses) if you want to get the absolute best out of it. The best thing about the GX80 is its portability, that you can stick it in a bag with a couple more lenses, without even noticing the size or weight, and that it can take 4k video for a relatively low price.
the picture in picture is great for event. can zoom in for a wedding and get a seperate video for everyone else. same for baseball games etc. that camcorder can be fully ran off of usb power as well. the panasonic wins hands down for video recording. wont have to ever change a battery, worry about heat and it can work in low light situations which the camera you are showing sucks ass at low light and theres no night shot on it that is worth a damn. your knowledge about the cameras shows your lack of experience. sorry bro you are still amateur
Dang you old asf. Loaded is terrible. They put junk bearings and use cheap almost particle board like wood for their decks. It’s basically a Walmart board from 12 years ago.
I had both. Bustin manualed good but the rubber didn’t hold up and I ended up motor swapping with meepo donuts. It took some torque away for the size but made it roll smoother. I liked my meepo mini 2 for 1100 miles and the bustin for 700 miles. Sold both. Meepo price unbeatable and stronger acceleration… but bustin looked and felt better. Pick one I guess. Meepo charged faster and seemed to last almost as long even tho it has like 50 less watt hours…
The nose is good for rolling up curbs, you manual the front wheels up then nose manual the back wheels up before you end up slamming the back truck into the curb. I deck swapped my meepo mini with a old school Powell reissue with a nose. Drilled/cut a handle in the nose too that makes it super easy to scoop up the board from a ride if you need to for other reasons.
@@PatrickHaines33 A deck swap sounds like a fun project! The replacement would presumably need to be very rigid to take the weight - how did the old school Powell Peralta take it?
@@hozn Meepo Mini tail seems fine to me - but I'm not trying to pop the 17 lb. beast with it. I've got a SmoothStar #77 34" surfskate with a super long tail - I don't really find the extra length beneficial.
The -distance sensing cruise control- Adaptive Cruise Control is not the same system as the parking assist. The ACC is sitting next to your front fog light, and inside of it is a swiveling radar array, i.e. it is actually moving when active. The park-assist on the other hand is delivered by those 8 "buttons" (4 for each bumper) all around the car. I have to admit your half-wooden steering wheel looks amazing... I suppose it's got the heating too?
Yeah, I'm using the wrong terminology - the ACC system in most cars also doubles as the forward alert system that notifies when approaching something in front of you too quickly. I didn't mean the parking sensors. Indeed the steering wheel is heated, it goes on automatically with the driver's heated seat.
Hello! Where in this video do you compare the HC-VX1K as stated in video description? I've searched through the transcript and cannot find! Please help! Thank you!
This dude don’t know what he’s talking about. Camcorder for the win, after you buy all the necessary lenses, batteries and some type of cooling device to keep that dslr running while shooting 4K video, trying to make your camera compete with a camcorder you have spent the equivalent of two-three camcorders.
Cooling device for mirrorless?!? I've used both my Lumix and Sony cameras to film 75+ minutes continuous 4K footage using only external battery adapters, and have never had them overheat.
Great cinematics. Great Car. I like your enthusiasm as it reflects my own for a Black interior XJ8 Executive from same body type (350?). The 358 top spec is a beast. I would love to own one.
A lot of the cheaper camcorders have the same problem with time limits when shooting videos which is normally limited to around 15 minutes but they are slightly pointing it out in tecnobabble by saying that the camera is perfect for vlogging
