Prime Time Comics and Card is actually in downtown Lake Orion, which is about 20ish minutes south of Lapeer. Also it's definitely more of a card store over comics, but still has a decent comic selection. I think a 14/30 is reasonable.
I liked the effort of making things a little more adult rated and a little bloody - but honestly I dunno'. It was definitely better than DC vs Vampires.
My opinion lol Liberty Comics deserves a 5 for organization. Back issues are organized alphabetically and numerically with dividers that have the comic books logo on it. Maybe I’m one-sided because I have OCD lol but it’s nice to be able to go in and immediately find what I’m looking for without any hassle.

5 issues wasn't enough and it feels a little rush at end for me. The best parts of the event are Doom becoming Sorcerer Supreme, Moon Knight coming back, and the art.
The best way it was put to me is this: It's your neighborhood dive bar where all the same people hang out. You are acquainted, the drinks are cheap and it's just that. A regular night out on the town
Completely skipped down on blood hunt except for the moon Knight titans because I was still picking up that series mostly to save money on my list. I almost put the red band series on my list, but I’m glad I saved. 32 dollars including tax and that’s money. I can spend another things like comics.

I started at comix corner (Fraser) as a comic collector as a kid with my dad. They used to have a buy by the pound discount section that was amazing. I got almost whole series that way.
CASHMAN'S John is my dude. Been to 4 of these stores and this one is in my neighborhood, So I'm a bit Biased. Love your review of his store. You can easily spend an hour there, regardless of size. I always walk away with more than I planned
Was hoping to see my Comic store i went to almost daily as a kid but you haven't made it to the metro Detroit area. Comix Oasis in Allen Park Michigan was the hangout for the whole crew" the owner Ben is and always has been an Awesome person!! Daily summer routine watch every movie at the 1$ theater a hundred times over" than ride your bike down to Comix Oasis and See what else to add to your collection. Im 43 now so yea store has been around forever 😊 hope you visit and enjoy your time. *Note* the original location has changed and in my opinion nothing compared to the Nostalgia of the original spot for the store. But hey times change. And it literally just moved a few doors down.

I don't know if this is still the case, but I think a good portion of the local readers in flint migrated from the amazing book store to comic relief. When I was a teen I used to take my little brother there so he could play magic against some of the regulars who were always in there and I'd get a comic or two to read while they did their thing. It was always at least a little busy with other people filtering out too, so I suspect it had a stronger local community vibe that people gravitated towards.
To your question: “What’s the point of having a brick and mortar if you sell online?” the answer is buying. When you’re an online dealer only, you have to constantly be searching for people who are selling their collections. When you have a brick and mortar, it’s not uncommon for someone to just walk in with a box of Silver Age books.
