Hey there, they didn't charge anyone - it also wasn't every developer (there was a threshold), and reverted that specific policy. Anyway, I wasn't a fan of that policy, just trying to clarify things here. The new CEO seems more sensible.
I made for fun "programming language", that was just fully translating to c++ and then running g++ from command line to create executable from the cpp file by itself. So syntax like python, speed like c++ and fully compatible with all c++ libraries. It just shortened c++, instead of #include <iostream>, you just used import <io>, instead of std::cout <<, you just write "write" keyword, instead of in main(int argc, char* argv[]), you just write main and much more, no semi columns or brackets, own foreach just like in javascript. That was when I was younger and I thought that I was a god xd. Now I realize it basicly even is not programming language, but just unworthy extension of c++ :( To this day I wasnt able to create my really own programming language

the ammount of times i smacked my head into a pillow because of your bad code is insane. I don't want this comment to be one of those hate comments but you could have just make a class for the window and use polymorphism to override the draw and update functions.
You should actually make your own programming language, your language right now is just like how typescript is to javascript, your language is to python
this architecture isn’t actually all that bad. It’s a common technique called Software Rendering. Although the converting it into texture isn’t the most common thing. You could of also used SDL2 which would of also let you convert a pixel array into a texture and then render it with the GPU but just with a fair simpler API.
hi, in fact I would like to code projects like you but since I hear here and there that we have to stay at the cutting edge of technology, I tell myself that if I start a project that takes me... let's say 03 months, trends will change and I will no longer be up to date. This means that I abandon all projects that exceed 1 week max. So how do you do it?
That double for loop with an if statement was not your problem. Compiling it with -O3 would've increased the performance of it insanely. Also, your renderer was one way. No need to get pixels back from opengl. Just use you cached array?!
