The specific copy that was sold to them may have been remade in '93 -After failing to cancel Eminem, The Source made false claims of another imaginary tape that contain actual racial slurs (besides n***a) -Benzino turned The Source into his personal propaganda machine, bankrupted the company, evaded taxes, and harassed other employees Benzino singlehanded ran a reputable music magazine into the ground
@nogi7028 interesting points. However, I do believe that there are more tapes like this. It was a series called the racist rap hour. Like you (and the person I pinned) said, these tapes went at all races, but I don't believe Ben was lying about that. He did purchase more than one tape from Chaos Kid, and that's where I believe this snippet comes from. Also, I think only foolish pride was made prior to '90. I wouldn't be surprised if this snippet came from a dubbed tape made in the 90s but you never know. Probably a good idea to reach out to Manix or DJ Butterfingers.
In the court case with Shady Records, The Source violated a court injunction that ordered them not to release anymore of Eminem's old songs. And they ignored it and released more anyway. If they had this imaginary tape with actual slurs, they would not hesitate and would've put it out in a heartbeat The tape was mentioned publicly as early as 2000 by another Detroit rapper/producer Champtown (who disliked Eminem). The people that sold it to The Source in 2003 tried to sell it as early as 2000. The rumor made by Champtown is where The Source got the idea of the tape with actual slurs. That is not to say that there aren't anymore tapes Eminem made. That is to say that the magazine never had it nor could have proved that it exists. Manix passed away a few years ago. And his brother DJ Butter Fingers doesn't seem like the gossip type. He is the only surviving member of Bassmint Production so he knows more about Eminem during the late 80s & early 90s more than anybody

I can't really refute what you said, and I bet your'e probably right about them not having (or proving the existence of) the tapes. I'm not surprised that Champtown had something to do with this. With their history and all. Also not surprising that Chaos Kid (RIP) was trying to sell those tapes for a few years before then, dude was kinda salty about Em leaving them behind (in his own opinion).

It’s wild seeing people either disregard this or even find excuses for it. “Oh well it’s Eminem!” As a white person, I am just going to let all my fellow black people know that any white person disregarding this or excusing it is doing it because they don’t know or care about the problem at hand in this video. And they were most likely introduced to rap because of Eminem and they don’t want their pride getting shot down because they feel rap belongs to them now because of Eminem. Rap does not belong to nor was invented by the white people. So any white person lucky enough to make it in this game should be smart and grateful enough not to make this “mistake”.
