We have a huge salt water tank in our house that we’ve had for years. We have clown fish, pajama fish, rabbit fish, a yellow tang, angel fish, sea urchin, shrimp, crabs and snails. We love the tank and so does anyone else that comes over. It is a lot of work but once you get the hang of it and in a routine it’s great. Good luck on your tank journey. You’ve got this & I bet the girls will love it. I have a 7 year old step daughter and we got it when she was about 2 she has always been so intrigued by it and she loves it and enjoys helping me take care of it!
Ignore all the negative people that will have opinions on the tank and you caring for it. They aren’t in your daily life and have no clue what you do for it. Ultimately you will know what is best for your tank, kids, and household. I’ve never understood why people get so triggered about other peoples daily life after seeing a 3-15 min video lol
