Saw Elvis at UCLA 3 times. Wiltern once, Greek once and the Hard rock Las Vegas once at one time had over 35 cd's, I'm a big fan since first time I heard "Watching the Detectives" one of the best songs ever IMO. The best song ever is "A Whiter Shade of Pale" RIP Gary and Kieth.
Not a drummer, but especially loved the drumming on one particular track from NYM. Can't remember the name, but it really stood out for me. There was also standout drumming on one track on Love Bites by the Buzzcocks. The drumming in The Police also caught my ear. Blondie had really good drumming too.
Wow... hadn't seen this before, been a huge long time EC and the Attractions fan. Was so excited to catch them on the "Brutal Youth" tour back in 94 when they played at Irvine Meadows. Since I'm a bassist also, "Bruce Thomas" has always been one of my all-time favorite rock bass players. I nicknamed him "Mr leave no note unplayed" on the account that he's all over the place, his tone (big Botton) and that he always plays some killer grooves. I was surprise to see he wasn't playing a Fender bass at the Irvine show but instead a "Danelectro Longhorn Bass,” rockin' it non the less. Favorite EC albums... 1. "This Years Model" 2. There are many facts to mention. Against England, Romania got 2 points and N.Ireland only 1 (due to a fix, I give the explanation about it at the end); against Finland, Romania got 3 points and N.Ireland only 2; against Turkey, Romania got 4 points and N.Ireland only 3. Romania was better than N.Ireland in that group but had really bad luck in the two direct matches, the first goal in Belfast was an own goal and in Bucharest Romania deserved to win but unfortunately failed too many goal chances. If Romania had tied in Bucharest against N.Ireland, then N.Ireland would have won without any doubt in England, in this case the fix would have supposed a win instead of a tie. The last day, that 0-0 in England was a fix and in addition the FIFA decided the match England - N.Ireland 0-0 to start 30 minutes after the start of the match Turkey - Romania 1-3. How strange, isn't it??? THAT'S A FACT, the match in London started 30 minutes later than the match in Turkey!!! That was a big shame for FIFA, England and N.Ireland!!!

It's hard to add or improve upon many of the excellent observations made here! .But in today's game of BS,Glamour,Mass marketing, Advertising,big Business and so on &it has to be said over paid,poor value for money Tossers! The fans pay to see&back their Clubs(Corporations)and National side of course! But football is meant to be about entertaining, excitement,fantasy and in this game Georgie Best provided all of the above!....He was like "Roy of the Rovers!"
