My 1 month old baby goats started pooping dark droppings, but today they're releasing this white like discharge, is this normally how their diarrhea looks like or is it something different? it doesn't have a strong smell, a little musk but you need to bring your nose very close.
I think this video is awesome and I'm really glad I saw it cuz I just had a goat that had a lot of worms and I'm going to go double-check her and see how she's doing today I do not have iron but I do have B12 and I and I have tylon 50 is this a good antibotic for this or do I Need a different kind.
They are beautiful. Was my first dog something is it's a weird name but she's not a just a white dog she's a special breed. Palmaris or something like that had one named snowball when I was a kid God bless you snowball I hope we see each other again
I have 2 question please 1- how much hay should i give to one sheep per day 2-when should i give them hay , before feeding grains or after feeding grains Thank you for youre contenent
We used this on several of our goats. It worked wonderfully on all but one of the goats. This goat still has a significant worm load (it was only marginally lower after 12 days when we ran another fecal - although the other goats that had significant worm loads were reduced to amazingly low numbers) What are your thoughts about giving a second dose of the copper sulfate solution?
Great information! Having raised dairy goats on rocky desert ground, we didn't have to trim feet but once or twice a year tops...they wore them down on the rocks...:) I learned so much about these meat goats. Thank you
We have the nigerian dwarfs as well. She looks like she is about to pop. But, if I am doing it right, I think I am still feeling bands. It isn't her fist kid. We have her in a pen because we are not sure and don't want her in the field. How long can it take for the bands to totally loosen up? She seems to have some give though.
I’d rather fill my freezer or donate the meat to other families than take the risk of someone else getting a goat for breeding and have nothing but issues out of it.
Finally clicked the right video but I probably found this too late. . . Dewormed my goats weeks ago and one of my goats started getting weaker and weaker . Now she's down and can't get up.. her legs are very stiff .. 3 days in looking at her closely she had a lot of lice.. the reason the thought hasn't gone through my mind was I've been checking my goats for lice before months ago ..nothing so I've been walking around my farm carefree. Currently going through all my goats right now..
I used to have to do alot for goats raised on pasture and very limited foriage of leaves, bushes, and tree nark, ect. But now they have ACESS to complete acres of foraging stuff. I dont have to do anything except give them pine bows for worming. Ive also used charcoal method used for worming my sheep in winter. Burn pile sprayed with water half way through burning it down makes the charcoal. My goats have such healthy babies with no hands on delivery. I only give them alfalfa and hay during the first week of babies delivered. Also when it is raining continually and the goats canr get out. I used to give baking soda. I hardly ever use it anymore. Used to cost alit just in that used everyday. 26:19
My little goat had a severe copper deficit and she was anemic and not gaining weight, her hair was curling and she was wanting to eat constantly. I started giving her blackstrap molasses that have 17% iron and 28% copper along with all the mineral salt she wanted. It took about 3 wks before I noticed her lids becoming a bit more pink. I knew it was working when she stopped charging the gate out of turn. She now waits patiently for her turn on the stand.
That’s good. Your vet can also provide you with an injectable copper if needed in the future. This medication is used for cattle and is extra-label for goats. It is called Multimin 90. Thanks for watching.
Tim. One of my Ewes I bought broke her tag. I have it but is not useable. How do I go about replacing it? Nobody seams to have one right answer. Please help.
Scrapie tags cannot legally be duplicated, although I wouldn’t expect the feds to break down your door if you could make it happen. If you have your own scrapie ID tags for your farm, you can just retag her and make note of it. Scrapie tags are designed for tracking back to the home flock. In some cases, individuals can contact the production farm, let them know the situation, and get a new tag. In most cases, you will just have to retag and keep a record of it. Long story short, you can’t get an exact replacement scrapie tag. This is usually tracked by the folks manufacturing tags and they verify you aren’t repeating numbers. I have actually been denied tags before by premier1 because I accidentally asked for a series of numbers we had used before.
@@LinessaFarms yeah. I called USDA and she walked me through is. Basically just use any of my Scrapie tags. And keep record. Also change with registration.
