I started my handyman career without any experience. I learned everything I know through research and youtube. This line of work is not about knowing how to do something. It's about the willingness to learn. Get over the fear you can't do something and you will succeed at anything you set your mind to.
Im not trying to be disrepectful but its not necessary to cut a whole in the panel to access. Not to mention, now you have a hole that needs to be repaired by someone else. Then you need to get a painter to have it paint matched. Now you have 2 many subs involved which will cost you even more money.
Im watching the video again. Look at where he puts the first piece of tape at the beginning of the video. You can clearly see the silicone bead. Cut it at the top, then the side by the shower door then over by the vanity. Get a small suction cup from where ever and pull the panel out. Come on guys.
Hey, great video and I understand how hard it is to find good help. I am lucky to have my boys be my helpers when needed. I wanted to reach out to you and see if you want to do a co-video together. We can discuss the business from both of our perspectives as well at the veteran perspective. If you are interested let me know. Thanks. AJ
I’m a believer and believe in karma. My history always tells the story. Thanks for bringing your message out no matter the criticisms. I have great respect. I’m retired and twice your age. Going for it “again”. All the best!
Dang lots of folks recognizing the panel is cosmetic and can be removed. Looks like these tubs have that design like seen here ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-zjBFJaLfj8I.html&pp=ygUaQmF0aHR1YiByZW1vdmUgZnJvbnQgb2FuZWw%3D
Bible says, “your good deeds are as filthy rags before God” “All have fallen short of the glory of God” Jesus said, “no man is good” Jesus said, “I am the way the truth and the life no man cometh unto the Father except by Me.” 1 Corinthians 6:9-11 Gives a list of people who are in there way to hell/who will not enter into the kingdom of God Those who commit sex before marriage (fornicators), (idolators) those who bow and worship carved stone gods who cannot see, hear, or speak, drunkards, liars, effeminate, extortioners, etc” Jesus said, “if you look at a woman to lust after her you have committed adultery already with her in your heart” … “and we know that no adulterer will enter into the kingdom of God” Jesus commands all men everywhere to Repent and believe the gospel, which is ….Jesus being innocence pure and 100% obeying the Father to his dying breath, then was buried, and rose again the third day defeating the devil, sin, and death . Taking the penalty for your sins upon Himself on that crucifix in exchange to give you eternal life , if you change your mind about who you think He is and actually make Him Savior and Lord of all your life and supernaturally become set free from sin Romans 6 KJV Jesus said, “unless a man is born again he cannot see the kingdom of God” John 3:3 KJV
I would check with my local church, they are really in touch with people who have the will and actually need to work. The church is really involved with the local community.
Yes not actual employees. So they are on call and probably can’t rely on 40 hours a week constantly. If you don’t have steady consistent work you can’t survive.Sounds like Latin American type sht to me
I know right I'm selling an '02 Chevy Malibu for only $50,000 which is a great price yet no one wants to buy it even though it's such a great price and that definitely means that all other people are cheap and dumb and definitely doesn't mean that I have to lower the price if I want to sell it because as I said the price is great it's just that all other people are cheap and dumb they just don't realize what a great price €50,000 for an '02 Chevy Malibu is
Shit I'd do it for $25 an hour, that is what I'm trying to start at in the state I'm in, Missouri. I'm currently a building maintenance man and have been for three years now. Got my start in commercial and now doing residential. The thing is companies don't care to work with people who are disabled and fire instead. Its a "right to work" state after all, well, that leave me out of a job every couple of years and having to find something stable. Employers here want to pay $20 an hour and have you doing the work of 2 or 3 people. If you ever call them out on it or rock the boat too much you're gone, because ya' know, "right to work" and all that. All in all I'd prefer to do commercial maintenance or just be an all purpose freelance handyman. I want to find someone to work with as a handyman though, but can't find anyone here and I've reached out to a couple of people which led to nothing. All of them were older men looking like they were working alone too, so I don't know if people even want to work together anymore. Companies are too big for me but working alone is too taxing, guess I'm between that rock and the hard place.
If I was hiring a handyman who could perform jobs like I do, be on their own, bring their own tools, they would easily get $50 an hour. For somebody to just help out with no experience, no way lol.
This funny I had this same problem in my mobile home I didn’t buy new Cabnets I just sanded and painted them so yeah I need a new fridge and I would need to take down all the cabinets and put the new one in so I thought Joey just take you saw cut and make a half cabinets with the and cut the door and the fridge fits nice now lol so much work if I did it the other way video brothA Joey
I would do it for 25 an hour .here in nyc im trying to find construction work but they all want experience. so how the hell wil i start.but i also want growth where i wont get fired so i undertand why nobody want to work for you
I have seen a growing number of entitled adults rely on government benefits, they join the service and are bragging about all the disability checks they are receiving claiming they made it up and do not need to work anymore . SMH, how sad. The prior generation actually had morals and honor.
I feel your pain on this. First time I have seen one of your videos. Quick story: My wife and I started a lawncare business in 2018. We were able to do well when we were a cash business. We did find a full time employee. We were able to keep him for a while. Side not to illustrate how much things have changed, we paid him 15 dollars and hour. In 2019 we decided to become an llc. Big giant mistake. We soon lost our employee that had been with us for a while and the others we had hired. With no government reaching into the business we were able to pay our employees well but with the llc and having to pay payroll taxes on each employee and the deductions, the employees quickly decided that hot labor intensive work was not worth 3 to 5 hundred dollars a week after government dipped into their checks. Thats right checks because we could no longer pay them cash anymore. We also had to cut hours because we could not afford to pay overtime. Soon we were not able to keep the business open. We closed the doors in 2020 and that was before the C19 nonsense. Government over reach and government partnerships with big corporations is the problem in this country.
I assume many of the good helpers are already working 40hr jobs and the hours they are available it just isn't feasible timing. At least that how I would interpret if I were to help out. Weekends, sure. But weekdays, who wants to use a helper when they are only available after 4-5pm.
Guy, if you can't afford to hire an employee part time then you just need to suck it up and do the work yourself. If you are taking jobs you can't handle solo, don't take the jobs. Sounds like things aren't going well for you and you are bickering with random people on RU-vid. How much money have you paid a consultant to advise you on managing and scaling your business? $0? Then there is your problem my good fellow. Business isn't intuitive and there is a lot to learn.
I have been trying to find a helper for a while. The cheapest I could find, cost me $25/hr No experience required and even with that, I had a couple of no shows. it is very hard.
yep, I own a brick paver company..These kids want $30/hr with zero experience, tools, and DUI's...On top of that they are lazy and have shitty attitudes...it boggles my brain. It forces me to use non-Americans.
Commenting in July 2024. I am a vendor to apartment complexes. One of my accounts manages 12 apartment complexes. The owner told me they are at 70% occupancy and offering two months free rent. Another of my accounts a large incvestment firm that also own 11 apartment comples, I believe, is or is close default. All of their properties look like war zones. I live in one of the hottest markets in the U.. S. It is looking ugly. The govt. and media are sugarcoating this economy. Which bridge will be the safest to pitch my tent under?
$25 an hour was great money 5-6 years ago. Anyone with half a brain can see that the cost of essential goods is up 75-100% due to this fucking inflation. People don't want to work because it's simply NOT WORTH THE ENERGY. Not trying to hate or be negative, but this is why.
The comments here are amazing - full of entitled Democrats and socialists who expect $40/hr and to have their asses kissed just to show up every day so they can sit around staring at their phones and who have zero interest in learning. As a Gen X'er I can clearly see that America is finished. We raised these entitled brats and now we must pay the price.
I'm actually shocked by the comments lol. But it simply shows the entitlement. $25 an hr to start just to help me out and more $ if they last more than a month is pretty good damn pay. I'm not starting anybody higher if I don't even know they will work out or not. I like to see how they perform and go from there.
It isn't the $25 per hour it is the lack of hours you offer. Nobody wants to show up twice a week and work 4 hour shifts. They want a 30-40 hour work week and they want to work for someone with their business buttoned up. I guarantee if you offered $25 per hour, 40 hour work week and a Professional attitude, you'd find a worker.
