Hello, my name is Denise, aka the Artisan Wildchild of Mystic Essentials Soap and Candle Company! I know some of you will remember my old channel, so you understand the nickname, I am truly all over the place in life, but I'm a lot of fun to know! I took a break during the pandemic and just taught soap nonstop and got so bored being stuck at home I decided to rebrand everything, so we chose to delete the old, including the website and blogs, and begin again, so here's to new beginnings! I have so many projects planned for this year, and I am excited to challenge myself and, of course, have my favorite best friends in my head; challenge me a bit too! Join me on my soap-making and crafting adventures, where we will discuss and learn together!
Let's create something beautiful together! I love meeting makers, so make sure you join our new FB group
You can't ask others how much to charge for your products. Ingredients - depending on where you get them - are all different prices. You will never make it in business unless you do the math yourself. Add up the costs of your products and then divide that by the amount you use in your recipes and times by 4. Before you sell anything it's very important to understand this and there are videos and blogs out these explaining COGS (costs of goods/services) and how to correctly price your products.
Hi Mystic, this is an awesome video tutorial. I make my own wood molds and now will have an easier way to line them. I love it. Thank you so much. Do you think I can put this type of mold in my wood mold. Awesome video.
Hello, thank you for sharing your video. I'm slowly getting into making my skin care with natural ingredients. I Do have a question. Is there a way you can make the recipe for 4 lotion bars? I would appreciate your help ❤
I would love to see you make a non comegenic facial moisturiser. I do wonder if the Kokum butter is drying to the skin but I understand you love this butter alot.
@@kay0316 the emulsifying wax turns the butters into a kind of lotion on wet skin. Kokum and mango butters are less greasy and absorb quicker than say cocoa butter. Beware though, Kokum is crumbly, don’t use it in high %’s .. as I found to my chagrin lol. Do some research on emulsifying wax. Google and RU-vid has loads of info. It’s inexpensive also. It’s INCI name is polysorbate 60 and you’ll find it in any emulsified lotion ingredient list of products.
@@kay0316 you’re literally on the internet now, google a recipe. There’s a certain amount of work a maker has to do themselves, not have it handed to them on a silver platter
I am sorry I am a beginner so what is 3% of fragrance oil in ounces or is that in drops if so how many drops is 3%. Then you have 4% of FO OR EO so I thought that meant fragrance oil and Essential oil am I wrong? Sorry I am a bit confused. Maybe your video is for advanced not for beginners.
I tried the Kokum butter with my lotion bar recipe and it was drying. But I still like the smooth feeling it gives to the lotion bars. I decided to combine it with coco butter.
I hate to say it but this is a horrible video this is not the best tutorial out if loaves and bar and we gotta watch you make this stuff 13 minutes in before you give a recipe most people that come for tutorials wanna try to do it as you’re doing it at the same time it’s just overwhelmingly team too mucj
Thanks for the recommendation of Kokum Butter, I will check it out! I can't stand lotions that leave an oil slick on your skin. :) Can you tell me what the addition of the Arrowroot powder is for? If you said it in the video I'm sorry, I didn't catch it.
Arrowroot powder helps with any residual oilyness from the butters but you don't need much at all in this recipe I've even made it without the arrowroot
I will actually makes video for that I have some free time this week are you looking for a sydnet bar or just a basic shampoo bar? If you join the group I tagged I could show you as I make them in there or shoot me a message and ill send you a recipe or two
Thank you so much for sharing! Do you have the %'s used for each ingredient? This is super helpful if someone wants to make this but isn't making as much. :)
