I think it'd be better if Belarus and Ukraine both turned communist, i mean it's likely you're making these concessions with the nationalists in the cpsu so it doesn't make sense that they'd spawn democratic
I think communist Hungary is actually really strong for the geopolitical implications. All other nations around you will be part of the axis/ occupied by them, so you can conquer Austria Hungary pretty easily

It's probably the most antiquatedly designed tree in the game, even worse than the British Dominions. Being one of the first somewhat out there alt-history paths meant that the RNG would keep them from being too overpowered compared to the _old_ USSR, Italy, etc. trees. Japan, Hungary, both main Chinas, Czechoslovakia, and Turkey are the countries that need the biggest reworks out of ones that already have content.
One thing I did wonder if they could do (without implementing a fleshed out economics and politics system) is an alternative non-aligned path to revive Austria-Hungary, after all Hungary did have non-Habsberg monarchs such as during the Age of Arpadian Kings and the Age of Elected Kings that could be drawn upon for inspiration. That said, I also wonder if there could be some means of coring lands like you can in Europa Universalis.
