I booked a gty on Symphony and just got assigned the second fwd oceanview balcony stateroom. Now I’m worried. Why do you think those are the worst stateroom?
@@Idkdk it’s just a long walk. You can call Royal or your TA and if there is an open stateroom in the same exact category, they may be able to move you. I was able to move our stateroom on our last cruise.

The ADA cabins 8100, 8102, 8600, 8602 are the worst cabins on the Magic for two reasons. First, the crew start setting up Cabanas, one deck above at 4:00 AM, by drag tables across the floor. Second, The Veranda is directly below Cabanas, one deck above and people stand along the wall and look directly down on your Veranda. You can almost touch the people on the Cabanas rail from your veranda. Somebody from the cabanas rail accidently spilled coffee on my wife while she was sitting on the Veranda. Avoid these cabins at all costs
That is a unique room layout. Having the wrap around sofa makes it more spacious as it brings the space that would have been for the balcony into the room!
Royal Pacific? We stayed there in 2011, but I had a bad experience (not hotel related) and ended up praying to the porcelain God for 2 days. I’m traumatized and can’t go back LOL

Sometimes they will let you transfer it, not sure if you checked. We are going to both Christmas parties this year. We let our APs expire, so doing this.

I am a new subscriber. Thank you for all of the helpful information about this new system! My husband and I will be at WDW for a week in December and I don’t think we’re going to purchase any LLs. It seems like a pretty hefty fee to pay for such a big hassle. We’ve decided to just risk it with standby and adopt a “If we get to ride it, great! If not, we’ll ride it on our next trip” approach. We were longtime APs prior to covid and have ridden all but the 3 newest rides MANY times before. I refuse to pay all that money just to be stressed out refreshing the Disney app on my phone all day looking for LL availability instead of just living in the moment while enjoying the parks with my husband.
I completely agree. And if you are going early December, the crowds shouldn't be too bad. We decided not to renew our APs because of this new system. We like going to the parks later in the day so we actually get to relax on vacation. This system doesn't work with that plan, so we just plan to go less often and go elsewhere for our true vacations.
@@tiyya91 there are some chairs and loungers around it. I have a livestream from July 2021 and you can see it better there. Those do fill up quickly, so if you want one, I highly recommend getting off the ship early to claim one.
Catching up on all your summer vlogs! I just love this little HS day. Wish I lived closer so that I could pop on over there for a quick trip. We went to that Star Wars Meet n Greet, and I did not know it was going to be Darth Vader. I had nightmares from my childhood about Darth, and the second that I saw him, I wanted to leave. You can see it in our photos! He could tell I was freaking out too, LOL.

Hi Shannon. So i only bring this up because you made a comment on it in this video and I've wanted to tell you this for a long time. I think your video's are awesome as I've told you in the past especially your cruise video's. I think the reason your volume of subscribers and people who watch and give a 👍 button is low because i believe it was you who said it in this video and I think your 100% correct that people don't know to tune in because you get lost in the algorithm. If your going to stick with cruise video's i would add "cruising" to the beginning of your name so when people search cruising which tons of people do you'll come up. Even the major players in the game when they put a video out with just there name to talk about something the hits are extremely low. You make such informed video's and your spot on with all your content. I think if your going to make videos on Disney then you should label yourself with Disney like "Disney mom at it again" or "Disney made fun" whatever im just trying to make a point here. That way you show up when someone searchs Disney. If your going to do cruise videos then cruising should be first in your name. Maybe 2 channels one Disney one cruising and people can filter over. Your extremely talented and your videos are enjoyable to watch. Your editing is also great. Those videos you made a few years ago on different cruise cabins were amazing. Best video's I've ever seen on ship cabin breakdowns. The way you broke it all down and inserted different separate videos on the screen on rooms and locations was once again so spot on. Anyways i wish you lots of success in whatever you do and we'll always be watching whatever you do. Please don't take this as criticism thats not my intent. Im simply stating my personal opinion and if you feel I'm over stepping I'll delete my post. Happy trails 😁
Thank you. I actually started with Disney content and one of my most searched terms is Shannon Ford Disney, followed by Shannon ford cruise. Unfortunately, RU-vid has changed in recent months and now they really promote the click bait type videos. If I have a video that has a title that it will be negative, it will do well. Sadly, negative videos do better. Several creators have been talking about this. Ben & David who are cruise vloggers just posted a video about this. People want to hate watch. I do this for fun. I would love to grow no question, but at the end of the day, these are my vacations with my family and not a job. I have a full time job in addition to being a wife and mother. If I start worrying too much about algorithms and making click bait, then I don’t want to do this anymore. I appreciate your comments though, I really do. Hopefully others who will benefit from my content will find it. My goal is to provide content for other parents who may find it helpful and to provide a realistic expectation on what a trip will be like, not the sugar coated spin the daily vloggers provide.
@ShannonFord i hear you, and I totally agree with you. It's sad how people want to see all the bad. I'm sure it's a lot of work just on editing your videos. On that, I'm happy to see you standing your ground. No matter what you do, my wife and I will continue to subscribe to your channel. Found your videos while researching the cabins and the lodge. I have booked both (newer cabin and deluxe studio at copper creek) and can’t decide which I like better. Between Fort Wilderness cabins and the lodge/ Copper Creek, which did you like best? Ours is a short trip. Only a few days. But we would be bringing our 5 year old and it’s her first Disney trip/ experience. I actually haven’t been to WDW myself since Grad night 20 ish years ago too lol. So it’s all fairly new to me too (& somewhat overwhelming). >__<
Great question. So the biggest question I have for you is, how much park time will you be doing and are you planning on spending time at the pool etc. I love the Fort Wilderness cabins, but there are some downsides. Bus transportation is one. You need to take 2 buses to get to a park instead of one. You can rent a golf cart to get around the resort but that is $70/day. So going to the pool is a trip instead of just walking out of your room. Cooper creek rooms are nice but smaller obviously and you will not have a full kitchen. However, the pool at Cooper Creek is nice (small slide) and they have a great splash pad. Also some great options for food. We stayed there last summer, so I have some vlogs on it. So you really can’t go wrong with either resort. It really depends on what type of trip you plan on having. I would personally book either in a heartbeat again, but which one would depend on the type of trip we were having. We are coming for 2 nights in November for the Christmas parties and we are staying at Beach Club because we want the amenities. I really hope that helps. Thank you so much for watching
@@ShannonFord This has been really helpful thank you! As for length of time of our stay, it depends on our business and whether we can take a second day off. If so, then we will do 3 days and 2 nights (1 day at the resort, 1 day at Magic Kingdom and travel home the final morning). If not then we will be driving up early to MK for the day and basically be crashing for a night then driving home. So if we get the extra day, I think I will do the Lodge and if only one night I think we will do the cabins for the bunks and extra space. Someone told me you could take a boat from the Fort though; is that really only for the Lodge? Or maybe its just extra long from the fort?
I really can’t wait to go back. I regret not spending more time on the campgrounds, but then again, the weather was crappy, so it’s probably better that we didn’t. I can’t wait for Rider to turn 9 so we can do the trail ride when then return.
We stayed in a cabin last trip. Rented a golf cart, when they allowed outside companies to rent them. Absolutely LOVE Fort Wilderness. But tsk tsk… You didn’t buy a coonskin cap!?
This is our 1st time doing a guranteed Suite, but we are ok with wherever they put us.. I looked at all Jr. suites on Wonder they are all Midship which works for me... The only issue is we can't do Royal Up til you get cabin number correct??? Im fine with our Jr. Suite locations on Wonder so far... we'll see

I have AP, but won't be buying LL, b/c I don't think I can manage being in the parks for that long after all that running! I will try to get virtual queue, but I know Tron is coming off that soon. Since I am by myself, it will be less stressful and more manageable.
@@PeachesP27 Tron is already standby. For one person, it may be worth it. At least you are guaranteed those 3 rides. I used to do RunDisney events, but I got tired of waking up at 3am on vacation and then being exhausted.
