Thank you!!! The piece I’m refinishing looked exactly like yours with the bleed thru. I had two coats of Sherwin Williams extreme bond primer on it and it did nothing. I found your video and the Kilz restoration primer did the trick. First coat of Kilz sealed it and the second coat covered it.
Years ago houses did not have the closet space they have now. People didn’t have so many clothes. So these very functional pieces were designed to fill that need. I have one very similar to this one and plan on giving it a makeover, possibly using wallpaper on the drawer fronts due to severely chipped veneer.
