The ice blue one was my first; that Target red is pretty slick though. Loved the better screen and clamshell of the SP, but man, trying to hold that thing...forget it! Then you bust out the Micro to make it worse. lol We have one that I got a swapped out faceplate for a Zelda one that makes a great display piece because...no. ha ha ha Wait, did I miss it? No love for the GameBoy Player for GameCube? That's my preferred way to play with having an actual controller in hand. I'd like to grab Super Gunstar Heroes; I've long loved the Genesis one. I've heard good things on the Lilo & Stitch games...maybe from you? I'd be down to try that Pirates game, I think it looks fun and definitely film fans here. Heh, Fantastic 4--the right one--is good, got it! Love me some Minish Cap; really would like to go back to it. Oh yeah, BoF II is amazing; loved it on SNES so the GBA version would be my excuse to replay it! Iron Man going on the list.
Ooh the ice blue you say? I like that one myself. Found the Target one for cheap years ago. The clamshell version was a cramp machine even though I do like the design. The micro is worse but I’ve managed to beat a few games on the micro over the last couple years and it’s fun. I totally forgot to show and talk about the GameBoy player for the GameCube! I do really enjoy playing that way. Gunstar Heroes is a classic and the LILO & Stitch games are fantastic. You probably heard about them from me or Jay at Square Pegs. The Pirates game is pretty fun. Not the best kind you but I really enjoyed it for what it is. Fun music as well. I do love the movies! Minish Cap is one of the best Zelda games and a great reason to own a GBA. Iron Man was a blast to play through and I would definitely recommend it!
Having cracked open Unmetal yet but I am very excited to play it. It'll be a nice pallet cleanser in between a long game or a horror game. I don't know if I'm good enough to play blasphemous and I kind of want it in a dual pack. Souls like terrify me! I got to get back to darkwood. Scott gives me a hard time about it because he bought it for me. I played a little bit of it and then took it out of the console 😂😂😂 It's a bit challenging to figure out, but I figure if I check out a best way to play guide/ walkthrough I can make it happen! Carrion is one I've heard great things about too SegaHead raved about it. It's fairly cheap I think still but who knows for how long.
Unmetal is hilarious but the gameplay was done really well. Blasphemous is tough for sure. Very souls like but so beautiful and very fun. Darkwood is one I also need to go back and finish. I was making progress but moved on to something else. It is challenging but rewarding once you start to figure it out. Carrion is one I’ve had a blast playing. I’m near the end but haven’t finished it. Definitely unique and underrated.
I loved Cave Story + Never played the original but now I need to go check and see if my copy has the book lol. We still haven't played fatal frame maiden of blackwater but I'm missing that last one and now I need to go check and see how hard and expensive it is to get. Fml Steve! My wallet's going to need life support. You know I want those yomawari games too! 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Cave Story seems to be a favorite amongst everyone. I haven’t played the Fatal Frame games myself yet so it’s ok. Haha the Yomawari games aren’t too expensive so there ya go! You’ll thank me later! 😉
I prefer buying Dr. Mario & Puzzle League for the GameBoy Advance! Man, the version of QueQue is very different from the original one from Dr. Mario 64.
Awesome collection of systems and some uncommon games! Golden Sun is a must on that system! The GBA SP 101 was my very 1st handheld system. I bought it because I had to commute a lot for work back then, so I picked it up and wasn't disappointed! Iron Man looks good as I've watched your gameplay video you did a while back! I had never seen that Medal of Honor game until now, and it's going on my wishlist as it looks good! Same for Ace Combat and Daredevil! Hope you have a great week! Great video and keep up the good work!
Thanks brother! Golden Sun is a must! Ah you had the lustrous SP 101 huh! iron Man is fantastic. I beat it last year and loved it. Medal of Honor is one of my favorites for sure but make sure it’s the one I recommended and not the others. Ace Combat is another fun one that’s a little different on the GBA but still very fun. Always appreciate you my friend and hope you have a great week!
@@stevecraigretrogames Even if you have to save up for it, it's well worth it. No real handheld can compare unless you mod it with new screen and speakers which will cost you at least a couple hundred and takes skill. Pocket can run every retro system and you don't even need game cartridges. You can just use an SD card.
@@estusflask982 This is true. I love my Analogue Pocket and mostly use it over my other handhelds but some people just want the basic. Gotta show all options!
FML I had no idea about White Night. Now I gotta try to find it. As for Madison I didn't love it but it is still a good game. I'm just getting tired of those walking sim survival horror games. I need the combat. In Sound Mind however I did enjoy. Great suggestion.
You should totally check out White Night if you haven’t seen it before. Very cool game. Madison looks very interesting to me. I hope it’s decent at least like you said. Sound Mind is unique and nobody talks about it. Definitely look into White Night and let me know what you think.
Sadly I have never owned a Game Boy Advance. But I have owned a GameBoy Advance SP. Played a lot of Zelda and Mario games on it. Really haven’t played any other games. But this video is definitely great to see. Didn’t realize Nintendo had so many games for the Game Boy series.
Zelda and Mario are two great series to play. I absolutely love the Gameboy series and its libraries. Hope this helps nudge you into playing a few more Advance games.
I for sure want to get a analog pcoket someday! I tried gaming with the sp rexently and my 33 year old eyes did not like the small screen lol. I mainly use my gameboy player for the gamecube to play my gba games these days.
I absolutely love the Analogue Pocket and what it can do. I beat a couple games on my SP 001 last year and it was definitely hard to see sometimes! I do enjoy the Gameboy player as well and completely forgot to mention it in my video. 😆
Don't forget the Gameboy Advance player for the Gamecube. Of course, that will set you back $$$ for that set up now. Can't go wrong with any of the Final Fantasy ports which are some of the best versions of those games.
I didn’t even think of that until you mentioned it! I have it but it didn’t cross my mind while I was gathering everything for filming. It is pricey nowadays but still very worth it if that’s your thing. I have the first three Final Fantasy games for the original GAMEBOY. Great series of games.
@@stevecraigretrogames I heard that the disc for the player is a lot harder and more expensive to come by than the hardware itself. Thank goodness I bought that when it originally came out.
Alright Steve I got a few suggestions for you. Boktai F-Zero Final Fantasy Tactics Advance Mega Man Battle Network Phalanx Super Dodgeball Advance Zone of the Enders
I actually have a few of those titles. I didn’t show every GBA game I had just wanted to give some examples. I do need a few you suggested though like F-Zero and Boktai!
@@moandaindesigns Only issue with Boktai is you need the power of the almighty Sun and I mainly play at night in the dark! 😆 I do still want the game and would like to play it at some point.
A hidden gem I have been recommending for years is Turok Evolution. It's a good run n gun and it's fairly uncommon and not expensive. Lots of fun with system link co-op!
You have some pretty decent collectibles in general. I am mostly here to watch Switch stuff. But I was pretty blown away the Lilo and Stitch games were decent. I wrote them off as little kids games but I do enjoy the Slug. I will give them a go.
@@stevecraigretrogames I like it. I am thinking of getting a switch in the future to play the older ones I also play it on my laptop using a controller
@@norseczar27 I personally love the Switch as it has a varied library of games that really suit anyone’s taste. Glad you’re enjoying the Rogue Ally. I hear it’s a great device. I’ve been using my Analogue Pocket a lot lately and really love that handheld.
So interesting thing about the Scarlet and Violet dlc bundles, apparently some newer cart revisions actually include all the DLCs not requiring any downloads.
Pshhhh, I have all the Saturn games as you know but I never play the originals because I just play them from our mod. At. Saturn because we're preservationists 😂😂😂😂 Super damn cool Luigi's Mansion 2 HD poster. I've played the original and I'll probably get the HD remake at some point. I knew Leanne with good people because she loves Diablo too. And also happy belated first year wedding anniversary! I know that came around a month or so ago. Hope you guys got to do something fun!
Haha I know! I get my Saturn inspiration from you guys so I know what to get! I love the Luigi’s Mansion poster. I’m not going to buy the game because we have it for the 3DS so I’ll just play that one. Leanne played and beat part 3 and loved it. I’ve yet to play one to entirety yet. 😬 Leanne does love her some Diablo and Dragons Age games! Thank you! Yeah it’s June 17th and we have now officially been married over a year! We had a nice time together and a yummy dinner!
You always have some unique picks. Great stuff. Edit: if I didn't already own Dead Cells with all the DLC I would have picked up that physical copy. Fantastic game. Great for car rides or plane trips
Indeed I did! Haha very nice! I have the copy I showed and a Special Reserve copy that’s numbered. It’s a fantastic game and more people should absolutely check it out!
I wanted to give Horizon Chase a go but apparently, it constantly asks you to go online. I play offline and I am such a boomer. I gave away my copy of Oregon Trail because you must go online. I want games I can play indefinitely and dont need a third party server. Otherwise I would just go on the e-shop.
I don’t remember it asking me to get online. 🤔 That stinks though. Oregon Trail on what system? I definitely agree about the third party server though! I prefer forever games as well. Very interesting.
Oregon Trail Deluxe Edition for Switch by Gameloft. You must link your Nintendo Online account or you can't play. I will give Horizon a try on your suggestion.
Don't you worry I'll keep talking about tormented Souls until my voice is crackling and my throat is raw! With Tormented Souls 2 coming out, I'm hoping that gives the first one a bit of a boost. It was a truly amazing game. Oh yeah, This War of Mine. The game i love to hate. It's truly heartbreaking and not fun but it's addictive. Hell yeah, Signalis. Another one I absolutely loved. The art style is a perfect throwback to retro. World of horror still haven't opened my copy either but I was hoping you would mention this one. Lots of great games in this pile. That definitely aren't your average. Easy to get a hold of titles. I think you're on to something and I think the amount of view speaks to that. You've always been my go-to for unique games that I've never heard of and I hope you're having a fantastic weekend.
I forgot Tormented Souls 2 was coming out! Glad you enjoyed the first one. This War of Mine is so different from any of the other games and it is heartbreaking. Signalis is great as well and has definitely shot up in price lately. I play World of Horror at some point! I always appreciate the kind words and I’m glad I can help you spend your money! 🤣
Nice list! I have the Brazilian import version of Horizon Chase Turbo on PS4 because back then, that's the only way you could get a physical copy of it! Then it became more popular and it got printed over here. I got the digital version of Unmetal because the Vita version is out of price, and the Switch version always goes out of print in a matter of hours when VGP reprints a bunch of them! You're absolutely right about Stranded Deep. Another one that I bought digital because I've never seen a physical copy of it! Hope you have a nice weekend! Great video and keep up the good work!
Thanks Dan! At least you have a copy right! That’s all that matters. 😆 Unmetal is great so I hope you can find a copy at some point for a deal. Stranded Deep is awesome and no one talks about it and I never see it in the wild. I always appreciate you brother and hope you have a great weekend as well!
Un Metal sounds like fun to me. Even that racing game looks cool. Trek To Yomi I have heard of. Do believe it was on GamePass at one point. Definitely some cool and interesting games here. Awesome content my man. 👍👍
Un Metal is a trip that’s for sure. The racing game is fantastic and fast. Trek to Yomi is stylish and fun. I think it was on game pass. I appreciate it my friend!
Great video, Steve. You’ve got some very uncommon games. That’s for sure. I have the Dragon’s Quest triple pack and Blasphemous 2 from your list. Cheers M
I love your videos and lists, dude! This was a great one. I only had three of these, so I need to keep my eyes peeled for the others. I actually streamed Carrion at one point on my channel... Awesome game. Keep up the great work!
I appreciate the kind words! Glad I could bring a few new games to your attention. Carrion is such an awesome game that almost nobody talks about so it’s awesome to hear you’re a fan of the game! Thanks again and hope you continue to enjoy the content!
I have Arcade Paradise and it would have been fun if i didn't have to fight the controls. It probably was just me but i just gave up after awhile. Same with Powerwasher or whatever that game is. I could not control the cursor and spent all my time getting motion sick from the bouncing around. It's too bad because I'm convinced both are fun!
I actually had a great time with Powerwasher Simulator. 😂 It can be a pain to control but I got the hang of it and had fun with it. Maybe you’ll come back around to Arcade Paradise. 🤔
First off, I see what you're doing in your thumbnail and I love it. lol We STILL dig pickups videos; how else are we to know what to keep an eye out for? Totally digging that Sega book, well-loved or not. Did you call that number on The Goonies II? "Jurassic Classic"--ha, nice.
You’re the only person who’s mentioned they noticed my pose! I obviously still love doing pickup videos but the views have definitely gone done recently. The Sega book is super cool and goes well with my other code books. I did call the number and they said they could entertain me for $9.99 an hour! 😂
I love the Sega Saturn so much and it has a fantastic library of games. Some are reasonably priced and others not so much. 😂 Happy to hear you are digging into the system and its library!
Cruis’n Blast is definitely a banger game. I didn’t know it was that uncommon to find in the wild. A while ago I was looking for an arcade racing game for the switch and happened to see this one at my local Game Xchange and picked it up! The game is super fun to play and unlock different cars but the best part about Cruis’n Blast is the soundtrack! So if anyone out there comes across this game and doesn’t have it, I’d pick it up before it’s harder to find. Great video!
Thanks brother! I’ve been in a 32X hole but I’m almost out now! Trying to wrap up the games I really want for the system. Only a couple left honestly but I’ll get them at some point. I was very happy to get Lightening Force especially with the freebies basically.
Great additions Steve! I'm super behind on content so I'm trying to get caught up. Scott was making supper in the kitchen when he heard Thunder Force 4 and his ears perked up LOL 😂 Oh, and I think again we're the only people in the world that haven't added that Nintendo World champion ship game to our library, but who knows maybe in the future.
Thanks guys! Haha I heard Jenn! Scott like a lil Thunder Force 4 huh?! 😆 Yeah I’m sure everyone is picking the NES WC game up but it is super cool so screw it. 😂
Wtf? Signalis is worth that much? Jesus. I bought it on steam and loved it so bought it for switch. Dont know why, it was like 30 dollars on amazon months ago. Just sat on my shelf sealed since. This is listed for like 150 on ebay WTF. Didnt even know there was a photo inside, i never opened it.
Crazy right! I wish I had a sealed copy now but I’m happy to have it for what I paid. 😂 Super cool game. The photo that comes with it is an item your character has on them at the start of the game. Glad to hear you have a nice sealed copy and got it cheap!
@@stevecraigretrogames I checked my history and I actually paid 19.99 for it on Amazon. I know the game is awesome but my God. How some games rise in price makes zero sense to me. 😅
I really appreciate the kind words! I love pickup videos and game room tour videos myself. It’s helps to introduce me to new games I need to look out for!
