Sam Ford has basically confirmed how i also want a guest spot to be, one or two days tattooing and then hanging out for the rest. I’m so glad I’m not alone in thinking this when other tattooists I know or used to know say don’t do guest spots if you’re not busy or you’re constantly pushing to get work at a guest spot so its a waste of time. I think since watching more and more of that tattoo show, it’s pushing me to change my direction of thought and try something different and perhaps look into specialising in a specific style
Merci! Very cool conversation ! Had to listen to it in parts because of work but its worth it. Will relisten to it because im sure i missed some bits 😅. Thanks guys !!! Very eager for next one!
Such a cool video.. tattooist, tattoo artist, tattooer, custom, flash, walk in, appointment only… man who cares, we are all in this together.. treat your custom with respect and do a clean tattoo, that’s all that matters.
Oh well first things first cracker of a show, ace interview and it felt so natural not forced definitely more just two mates chatting shit about good times and passions 👌then secondly thank fuck you guys are back you would think I was a crackhead lol chasing for shorts of that tattoo show just to get a fix lol great to see you back and once again great show 🤘
Met Sam at Chiang Mai convention last year, complimented her work - asked me my name - found her really polite and looked into her work! Easy as that to build up rapport! Thanks Sam - keep up the good work xx
This is so cool to listen to and it’s true like as a kid I would do huge letters on stomachs, backs, Shins and I just wasn’t fazed…. and now I am relearning and I just am picking it back up I’m 34 now and I haven’t really tatted since 18/19 lol and idk why but it’s hard to just line lol
We’re all good thanks, this series and a couple of other things have taken a moment to film hence the ‘break’. But we’re back now. The future of the channel starts here…
I think she is great, fab personality, zero ego and in it for the right reasons. I also like that she is a tattoo artist and she has no visible tattoos. Put 50p in leccy the meter Paul. 😉
To anyone watching this, wondering if it’s worth it to subscribe or back this channel. I learned tattooing the hardway. This channel taught me more in a year than i had learned by myself, in five. Not only that, the purple handed preachers are like a tribe, that i am proud to call myself a part of. You want to know anything about anything. They’ve got your back. And they can have your back too. If you’re even half way close to being serious about the craft and artistry of tattooing. Sign up already.
Thanks for the support and the kind words my Purple Handed Pilgrim! We’re building a great little community of cool tattooers over here and I’m very proud to be a part of it 🙏 - p
Oh man that battery is so bad… maybe because I have one out of the first batch. It’s wobbly as hell, and as of now incant even turn it on. Impossible to push that top button. It got send back together with the Solnova.. they lost my package for almost two months, than all of a sudden I got it returned where they replaced almost everything inside the soonnova including the motor but nothing with the EnGen haha. Crazy stuff. Starting to think it’s better to use the critical short or the musotoku version.
Oh wow, So this is the thing, I found that the critical connection after a while comes loose and is unusable, and i like the critical battery. So the aluminium design for me was much batter on the en-gen as it will eliminate the issue of that breaking. The one that I have seems really well made and I haven’t had any issues with it yet. The only other battery I have seen that would be a better or suitable alternative to the engen would be the muso toku battery. Solid build on that one.
@@ThatTattooShow I assume you've tried some really bad ones. I have and use many batteries (critical, musotoku, xnet, bishop, ambition) and Engen it’s really purely done I love Cheyenne but not with this particular product. It is underdeveloped both in terms of design and materials. Of course, in my humble opinion.🤘
I’ve tried good and bad ones. I have most brands of batteries and while they all have good and bad points. The build quality of the en gen is not bad, it has to be made to a certain standard in order to pass safety regulations etc. the fact that it has a screen and buttons is a big yes for me.
I really love my Sol Nova, first generation 3.5 stroke. I wish there was a way to change it to 4 mm. Now I see for the Sol Nova 2 they jump to 4.5, probably will be too hard hitting for me...
If they’re making it illegal to own a machine, they should work on making accredited courses/ apprenticeships so that people can be sure of where they’re heading. I had a very bad shop experience 15 years ago and it put me off until now.
Does this machine have variable stroke or do you need to purchase a different machine for each stroke length?? Thanks. Looking forward to seeing its lining shading and stipple shading abilities...
@@ThatTattooShow yes I’m assuming it’s half as powerful maybe hahah idk but if it’s setup good maybe it’s cool, I just got a dragonhawk x5 new for 40$ I just tested it it’s cool but I can’t line like I used to with a coil machine
What about the ambition line like the torped or the cnc like like the q2, or sorry but I just ordered it it’s a dragonhawk x5 any opinions and then like I said before I can’t line good do you recommend a certain like 7rs or a 9RL
Thats going to be different for everyone. When i stipple shade I just turn it down as low as it can go, then adjust the voltage depending on the needle grouping.
Hi guys I don't know if I've missed something but I've not seen anything from you guys for a bit hope all is OK and everything is all right with you both. 👍
Whatever the brands, the reach yellow inks are weird, they are all very liquid, kinda diluted, and i find it very difficult to pack it properly. I tried many of them, but they're all the same. I was hoping the Apex one would be different, unfortunately they're not... if you guys have tips on which brand is ok, it would be well appreciated ! Take care !
Is the set reach compliant? To be honest, you can do this with most base sets. The reason for testing these out is due to the base colours being slightly different to the standard range due to the amount of pigments that have been banned in the EU. So I was seeing how close I could get them.
Thank you. Which white and black ink would you recommend from eternal? There are 4 whites and 9 blacks as I could see. And yes the venerated violet is much thicker than the meridian red in viscosity. Also leaning to the red/plum side, but useful to darken the red, without turning it to brown directly. eu based.
That amount of ink makes me nervous lol money speaking that is....I'd be tempted to throw it at a canvas lol Chris do them mixers ever work!? I'm going to ask a dumb question here!! I wanting to make sure the inks I buy are compliant, and are something I can rely on....is the way to insure this is to buy from a reputable supplier, I know my question is obvious buy hey ho that's the world we live in. 😅
