I used to have wobbly eyeballs when focusing on specific points. I found I have a convergence disorder, and added prism to my prescription. My eyes now work much better together and can focus easier without straining

I'm a bit of a dinosaur so I'm still using coils, I build them (even done homemade coils a few times and used to solder needles too), tune them and can hear and feel the set up. That's pretty hard to walk away from, partly because of how much tuning to spring weights and coil wire gauge/wraps and different capacitors. That said I have got a egoV3 that I've modified to battery and full cordless (only had to solder in a new power socket) and as it isn't a cart machine it works with my sharps tubes and grips, and I definitely agree a heavy stainless grip offsets the weight leaning back. I get a good six hours out of the battery and the trigger switch fit to the machine like it was made for it. So maybe it's worth having a dig through the abandoned machines draw and resurrecting some as wireless. (Edited to add context)

Totally agree with you guys i said the same when inkjecta and Cheyenne launch their “first batteries” how a big industry goes backwards is just unbelievable, in the past we used to call shitty to all the Chinese products for our industry and now they are the ones that bring new and better options to the tattoo game I tested some really low quality batteries grips with my inkjecta nano and works perfectly great so, why the big companies don’t focus more on that if they want to still selling the old versions of their machines? just take that Chinese idea of the battery grips and turns it in a something more nice and high quality

Burning the candle on both ends and sometimes even cutting it in half to burn them faster…. That‘s me… trying to slow down … new years resolutions and all…yeah… On the Maschine side of things, I love my cable machines, pens helped get rid off wrist injuries, now working with - cheyenne unio, it‘s heavier and longer so a battery would just turn it into a boring machine😂 … I honestly like the stroke adjustment, and how smooth the power is with no ups and downs : no battery anxiety… maybe it all evolves in the right direction in the next couple of years, get those machine designs to Cheyenne guys!😂😂 … Thanks for the show, Happy holidays, from Berlin🎉

Nice one! Just started to develop carpal tunnel syndrome . Been using the SOL NOVA UNLiMiTEd for the last couple of years and love it. BUT I think my hand is a bit more stressed out by it. Might be the grip 33 or that I find it vibrating more along the whole machine. Trying out my old ones now, sucks to go back to chords though.

I’m stuck on the FK irons machines, used workhorse irons before making the switch. Interested in the new critical pen since they make great power supply’s

I’m using the bishop power wand packer and I absolutely love it compared to a wired set up. That being said I’m going to be picking up the new gen 2 sol nova and plan on using it wired with the Cheyenne power supply 😊

I'm interested to see if battery grips can keep up with the market. Then not sure if i'd prefer that flite nano inkjecta over something like the critical torque pen styles machines.

I have had the eyes wobble back and forth also while tattooing. But only once in a great while. And it last maybe a half a second. But yes I have had it! lol it’s annoying and weird.

I get 6 hours of battery life out of a sol nova unlimited. I get even better battery time out of my Chinese wireless pen machine made by Dave. The Chinese one doesn't hit as powerfully as the unlimited but it's a 3rd of the price. My point is if you get a machine that's been designed and engineered to be wireless the wait dispersion and battery life works the best. Banging a battery on the end of a machine that's designed to have a cable obviously is going to be as good. I like the battery grips though. Do they make battery grips for standard needle bars or are they all for carts?

Not sure if anyone has mentioned this but some light sources can interact with the hertz cycle of the machine . Many Led light sources will be flashing on and off at a high hertz cycle , so high you don't notice it. However if the machine is running at a cycle thats interfering the the cycle of the light output then you may see the skin quivering as the light bouncing back at you as its interring with the movement of the skin under the hertz cycle of the machine creating a strobe type effect and i have had my eyes spasm due to this and start to shake as they try and adjust to the flicker cycle. She people are more sensitive to hertz cycling, i have trouble going to the cinema for instance as i can detect the frame rate.

Merci! Took me 3 days and 2 sessions to watch it all 😂😂😂 been busy. I started with spirit and then thunder then got my wand shader and packer. Dont know why exactly but bishop's machine got some light bulbs to work in my brain. Then bought the critical batteries and O my GOD the freedom. I'm a clutz and insane the time i almost made my whole table set up almost fall iver because i was so focused forgot to check my cables. Batteries were a life saver. Now they get older and i notice their charge span not being as long. I do make long sessions. Dunno if ill go back to being wired 😅. Got my spirit out and it is really a wonderful machine, guess i was the problem 😅😂 funny how inexperience works. Batteries are going to stay just because I have less chances of breaking all my stuff getting mixed in the cables when working 😂 Thabks for another awesome video!

lol! Yeah that cable is a love hate thing for me too. Being left handed the battery grips are life savers. And you’re not alone, I’ve lost count of the times I’ve wipe out my entire station with a clip cord!!

Don’t know if you guys have experienced this but I found that working wireless I end up working in a position that wasn’t always best for my posture for long periods just because I wasn’t restricted by the cable . My sciatica and back problems have been worse since going wireless and I’m starting to switch back to a cable as it makes to work in a more posture friendly way. Plus the power is way better with a good quality power supply than a battery. Be interesting to see your review on the sol nova 2 as that looks a very comfortable machine. Thanks for another great episode.

Yo Bros, Hope you feel better quick Paul. Hey Chris. I’ve been using the Cheyenne Unlimited 4.0 full time from the release date of it & Im ready to go back to the Cheyenne hawk wired pen.

Way better than the hawk pen unless you want something just for shading black and grey. I would still prefer the gen 2 sol nova even for that.

The hawk pen is a good all around machine. Not just for black & grey. If you can’t push solid colors and you think the hawk is for only Black & Grey I would rethink your tattoo training and maybe start a new apprenticeship. I don’t like the big fatboy grips & machines like everyone is doing. I desire a low profile design. Anyway That’s my opinion for me & I know what I like and the sol nova is to big and over hyped. I’ve been tattooing professionaly from 1986 to current. I used my unlimited nonstop for 3yrs & the best part was not being tethered to foot switch or cord. I tested every aspect of the machine. But the end result is it’s not better for me. I prefer the Hawk pen and if not I prefer real irons.

Man it's disconcerting and a weird type of leap of faith thing where you know where the line will be but can't see the machine 🤣 further away seems better but then it's harder to see. Got an appointment coming up so hopefully that will help, cheers for the reply man 🤙

Cheers guys, Chris yeah man 😂 I'm most likely a little older but I think you should start qualifying for middle age 😂 Seriously guys this why this channel has become one of my favourites, thanks for the in depth reply, I do have an appointment with a specialist coming up I was just hoping it was something others were experiencing. On the subject of taking a break I've had the same where I was knocked down with the flu recently and had to make the decision call clients and shift appointments where in the past I would just push through and work sick and finish home and work projects missing sleep and generally stressing myself out more, I've honestly found that as I get older the brain and body just can't keep up with the stress you heap on it so just saying OK I can't do this and taking a break heavily important. Hope you feel better soon Paul. Great show guys thanks 🤙
