Wow! Just came back from an offroad trip and camp out with a group of friends here in California through Big Bear, down Rattlesnake Canyon to Johnson Valley, through the high desert and then to Cleghorn 4x4 trail. Our boy with his 24 Frontier Pro 4x was struggling BAD on these tight, exposed and endless trails and switch backs. We all found out just how bad his trucks turning radius and heavy steering is on the trails, and we had to save his truck more than once using straps and even one of our winches so he wouldn't get it stuck or die. We were so glad it wasn't heavily modified or else, who TF knows how much worse it would have been with a lift, larger tires and more weight and such. It was the only truck that we had to stop for regularly and get out and guide, just so he could make a simple switch back. 🤦🏾♂️ He's only had it for a month and after his ordeal this past long 4th of July pre weekend, he already made up his mind and is going back to a 3rd gen Tacoma lol! He literally traded his 19 Tacoma TRD pro for it and is now kicking himself for doing so. Long story short: the frontier is not trail friendly and I would recommend that you NEVER go solo on some isolated and potentially dangerous or advanced trails. I go solo on my Taco all the time with my kids and lady, but wouldn't do the same on a frontier. I guess I love my family too much. Also, he tore the F out of the back sides of the rear seat back rests folded down, since they are lined with weak cloth, after putting his fridge and some other materials that he would carry on his Tacoma for the trip lol! How TF you don't line them with hard materials like the Taco and other trucks?
A smaller gas tank 18.2 vs 3rd gen with a 21.1 gallons..still no hood gas struts ..my 2001 Camry had two gas hood struts..for the cost and price of the Tacoma ….no gas hood struts ans the smaller gas tank with almost the same MPG’s…s
Hi,I already watched,I loved it ❤the video I got new 2024 TRD offroad double cab 4x4 ,I really loved it ❤ ,Can you give me the website or named to order accessory for my new truck.. Thank-you so much!!
Does the JBL head until have anything better to it over the regular radio that is not JBL?, I know the speakers are different but I’m wondering about just the radio it’s self.
Good review, I have the same truck with a few more options was able to get it for just under $50,000. Make sure you shop it and don’t pay the sticker price.
Nice! Timing was a factor for me. I wanted to be one of the first to get one and so at the time sticker price was a good deal. Now they being discounted.
Product page states it comes with "vehicle power cables". It does not state that it specifically a USB to USB-A cable with a cigarette lighter adapter nor model of cars it's compatible with. I purchased it for use in rentals cars as I'm a frequent traveler and am in rentals cars for work about 75% of the time. Many new cars I've been in have sole USB-C outlet to which this is not compatible. Another thing the product page leaves out is that you must use their cables (per their techs as to my inoperable camera) nor do they offer a USB-A to USB-C cable for purchase.
Trucks are ridiculously priced, and you can't do anything about it. just don't buy it. they are only targeting a certain group of people. rich people who can afford to pay it. you have to put down 25k or 30k and still have a $500 or 600 payment. and that payment does not include the bank interest. it is an absolute racquet..🤨
Hello, my name is Efren and I want to thank you for this video, if you would be kind enough to answer a question, I would really appreciate it. I am not using my factory amplifier but I left it connected since it is part of the reverse and proximity sensors like I need the amplifier, I saw in your video that the camera works, my speakers sound from a non-original amplifier that I installed, please do you think I need to buy the amplifier too, thank you
Okay so yeah I did read the comments before I'm commenting. So for me as I watched your video I'm just going to say I wouldn't trust it and I wouldn't trust the video that you got from the other guys because they are the car up on a lift. Neither one of those scenarios are even close to being realistic. What I would trust is if you had a video that stimulates real life circumstances. Using the tools thieves actually use having some people roll up on it that actually could do the job in real life. This review is unrealistic in every sense of the word
Man I’m loving your videos and must tell you my story. I bought a 2023 Sport 4x4. Had it for 2 days and did a crazy thing. I didn’t like the driving experience, it had maybe a problem with jerking on low accelerations and decided to test drive the new 2024. After that test I decided to trade in the 2 days purchase Tacoma 2023 and got the new 2024. The driving has no hesitation, no stiffness bumping and it’s so smooth. I mean I don’t know If I got a bad lemon with that 2023 but it is incomparable how better driving is the 2024. Some inputs will help me understand what happened but I did that and felt a relief afterwards.
I’m glad you’re enjoying the videos! I don’t think you got a lemon. That’s just how the 3rd Gen drives. I think you made the right choice with the 2024. It drives so much better!
@@MuscleAmerican I’m glad you are saying this because I thought I was crazy, feeling these issues while driving a car with so much reliable reputation. For example if had to cross a bridge just a little steeper I had to accelerate in order to keep the same speed. That’s so weird. I’m still in disbelief. Meanwhile the 2024 drives perfectly!!
I would like to know which is the main purpose for a dash cam. Why do you like it so much? I think it’s really cool just having that cam over there but is it really worth it? I’m willing to justify the purchase.
I can't believe you're going to sell the old one you have no clue what you do and do you you went to Toyota and you listen to the salesman you do realize salesmen are one of the biggest Liars right right beside politicians I didn't think that was a secret, you're selling Toyotas best truck they've ever made for Toyota second worst truck they have ever made the only one that's worse than that is the brand new tundra buddy you need to wake up man you have no idea how big of a mistake you're making that's going to cost you big bucks down the road but not too far down the road like you think. These old ones where I am there's selling hotcakes the 2022 and 2023 models I'm very hard to find because they're the last of the quality in 3rd generation is actually cost the same price a little bit more than the new one because of the reliability and very tough quality built, the lots are full of new ones nobody wants them and I can't blame them !!!!!!
Don't mind but I'm going to give you a little tip if you want people to watch your videos please don't lie to them, the new one is garbage they cut so many corners on it but if you just look at the looks of it you won't figure that out the new one will never be as reliable as the third generation you will eventually find out the hard way. I'm even surprised you bought the new one I was considering that I took one out for a test ride you can tell inside all the plastic everything is hard plastic very very cheap just a quality and fit and finish of the plastic is garbage the metal is very tiny very weak the hood is so light when you hit a bump the hood moves I always do my research I always check out a new vehicle top to bottom to see if there's any quality before spending big bucks. But there's some people out there that don't do that they just buy it because they think wow it's a Toyota it's good couldn't be more wrong, the back of it they took the leaf springs away which we know the leaf springs are the best they could handle the weight inside the truck a lot better they are way more durable. The new one they put the Springs with the sharks dates for a car garbage for a truck even when you take the truck for a ride it doesn't even feel solid it just feels cheap that's 4 cylinder turbo motor is not going to last. That turbo is pulling out way too much power out of that little force on the motor about motor is going to be working hard all the time and when you have to put something heavy in the Box or pull some weight with it that Motors always going to be stressed it is just way too small for a truck, but I'm sure you already did your homework before you bought it. And if people keep buying these four cylinder pieces of junk they're going to keep making these four cylinder pieces of junk people stop buying them they're going to have to go back to the V6 it's going to kill their profits, and we know the rich man does not like to lose profits!!!!!!
@@MuscleAmerican it's not better you haven't done your homework I have checked out that truck top to bottom from the Plastics to the metal to underneath to even the quality of the metal they used the body is very very tiny very cheap, but I know what to look for a lot of people don't they just walk around look for the looks there's more plastic on there then my son's little Tonka truck that does not say much, the old four cylinder trucks didn't have Turbo that give them the chance to last a lot longer. But then Toyota grew a brain and went to the V6 because they know the four cylinders was too small for a truck and the motor was working hard all the time this is why they went with the V6 in the first place best decision you've ever made, now they went back to the four banger slap the turbo inside and convince a lot of people that it's quality and people will believe this lie when they don't know what to look for and they don't know anything about vehicles very sad for Toyota deceiving their customers!!!!
@@MuscleAmerican please watch this video I sent you if you still think it's quality after this I really feel bad for you buddy all I have to say is do your research and don't listen to a Salesman they they will do anything for sale!!!!!
I’ve seen this video. You’re basing the entire quality of this truck off 1 part malfunction? No vehicle is free of defects or potential problems. Show me another video where someone had that same issue as TFL, there isn’t one. I’m happy with this truck, you’re not going to convince me otherwise and I’m not here to convince you. Have a great day!
I like that a 2 door cab is available. I don't like that you can't get a hybrid in the short cab. I get that there isn't room for the transmission hybrid motor in the short cab, but Toyota could add the beefed up starter from the Hilux V Active hybrid. That would help get it off the line faster and help with fuel economy.
