I'm a music fan. I have no musical talent, but I do appreciate great music. Even though my formative musical years were during the 1980's, I've always found the 1970's to have been the peak of the Golden Era of music. Videos will predominantly cover the 1970s but will eventually include music between the 1940s and very early 1990s.
Been listening to these guys since the late 70's. I would say they are my all-time favorite band. The songs that still make it onto my play lists are Listen to the Music, Long Train Running, Jesus is alright and China Grove. One that always hides in the background, Snake Man.
The Doobie Brothers were my most recent concert. About a month ago with my 14 year old daughter who absolutely loves them. What a special night for me and my wife to spend with her. Absolutely incredible memory.
I had to special order the first album by The Doobies and when CDs started being popular, I had to special order the first album on CD. It was that hard to find. I had brought the first album to a friend's house and her sister wanted to tape record it, saying she was afraid she'd never hear these guys again. Funny to think about that now. One of my customers remembers listening to them practice in a garage down the street from his house. We won't talk about the time Pat Simmons came into the bank I worked at in Los Gatos and gave my supervisor a hard time. He was not happy. I was like, no, this is definitely NOT the time to go ask for an autograph. LOL If I had to pick a favorite song, it would be Neal's Fandango because I used to take my telescope out on Loma Prieta at night. I miss doing that.
