Great points Wes, but they will repeat as a top 3 point shooting regular season team. The reason is because SGA and Dub can penetrate and finish at the rim against regular season defensive intensity. The result is drive and kick to the 3 pt line for wide open shots. Check the regular season stats last year for 3 pt attempts with the closest defender 6 ft away…. You’ll see the Thunder at the top of that list. In the playoffs, when rim challenges are legit, the thunder strategy of guards penetrating and kicking doesn’t work as well. I think that’s why they are stacking up the D. It is difficult to score in the playoffs regardless of your offensive style…. Might as well make it even more difficult for your opponents.

Considering Sean Marks' draft history, BKN having 3 other 1st round picks this upcoming draft outside of their own could shorten the rebuild time frame. He rebuilt the Nets in 2 years without control of his picks before KD & Kyrie got there.
I agree that they don't have volume shooters apart from Isaiah Joe, but I wouldn't be surprised if some other player increased their volume efficiently. In the end they are players who are still in development, and many of them have very good arguments to believe that they can increase their volume. And don't forget that you have Chip Engelland on your side, something that helps without a doubt
I disagree with your notion that their regular season 3 point percentage was a fluke. I saw the playoffs games the 3s were wide open, they just missed, so what should happened is that the 3 point percentage should level out to the average which should be higher and if they do that, they will win the championship. You gotta remember. Every team was pitting their big on giddey. Now how much Caruso shoots 3s they still respect him as a shooter.
Shai, Dort, Dub, Hart and Chet is their best lineup. Dort, Chet and Dub will be on the perimeter with Hart setting the P&R. This is a death lineup offensively and defensively.

If you have been watching Cooper flag for the last two years of him playing basketball his greatest Thing he bring to the table is his Week side help defense that’s it not scoring 25 points plus but it is his week side help defense. Now we look at Ace Bailey Dylan Harper players like that and if you watched their last two years of playing basketball, you can see that they had some 30+ points basketball games what NBA team is willing to draft a player on Week side help defense as opposed of an individual who can score 30+ and play great defense that is the June 2025 NBA draft question.
The Knicks absolutely have a second creator in Randle who averaged 24ppg as a 2nd option for 2 years now and can actually pass to confident shooters like DDV Bridges and OG instead of RJ Barrett and Quentin Grimes where one couldn’t make a shot and the other wouldn’t take a shot or even drive to the rim. He’s obviously got questions to answer in the playoffs but to say the Knicks don’t have a second shot creator is false
@@natashakuzmanoska9656 Shai was the only one who really played well. Both Holmgren and Jalen Williams did not play like the star players they were supposed to be in the playoffs. It was understandable because of how young and inexperienced they were, but apparently that one experience is all they needed and everyone is under the assumption they will play like the stars they supposedly are next time around. While it should be expected for them to improve the assumption that one experience was all their young team needed to be ready for the moment next time is more confidence then they have earned. Let's see these youngsters actually perform in the playoffs before we assume they can do it well enough to win the whole thing.

Seems like a lot of pressure to get it done thus year. Jones and Morris are likeley moving on after year one. How much salary and draft capital will they have to dump just to open up the taxpayer exception. Expecting a new coach to make a difference i have to see to believe. I just wonder how coachable their stars are. As an outsider it seems that they have a tendency to tune out and swap out coaches pretty frequently.

Kidd might end up starting Gafford. I know people want Lively to start but people forget that Gafford is entering his prime. He almost broke Wilt Chamberlain’s record for most consecutive field goals and already owns the NBA playoffs record for best FG%. Nobody cared just like nobody cared when Luka broke Larry Bird’s record for most 1st team ALL-NBA selections. Gafford only turns 26 Oct 1 and people intentionally forget that D-Live has been injured from Duke all the way to Dallas when he missed 27 games due to injury and subsequently lost his starting spot to Gafford. On another note the Mavs have insane depth and they could possibly make a move to add another key player like a Jeremy Grant type. No knock on Kleeber I respect his game, I just think Grant is a better player.
Most of his value will be on display in the first 5 minutes of the game (if he's starting) and the first 6-7 minutes of the 4th. That's basically where the bulk of their turnovers and poor directionless possessions came from last season. They lost 10+ double digit leads going into the 4th if i remember correctly. He's there to manage possessions and hit an open jumper
