its crazy how different some of the parts are of the bassline compared to when cliff did the song. But also how Ron was perfect in his parts. not getting in the way of the guitar, the bass just enhancing it all. excellent hearing the OG lineup.
@@christopherpooler5398 Well James and Lars had thrash songs before Dave joined, bands like Exodus (Kirk Hammett) were doing thrash things. It was really bands like venom that first mixed NWOBHM and punk which is what thrash is and James and Lars were doing that before Dave

@@unperson5713 Yea what he lacked in drumming skill (though he was great in the late 80s) he excelled in his knowledge of pro Thrash bands and how to create a new sound with Metallica, he also was a great networker and got the band noticed, signed and took them to huge success, they definitely wouldn't be the biggest band in the world without lars
