@@rayjingloryproductions3770 Don't know if 4-track cassette recorders were available back then. I got mine in the early to mid '90s. It sounds like a single mic room recording (I've done enough of those to know how they sound) but it still sounds damn good.

@@SRMoore1178 Yeah, sounds like a "single mike in room recording". If you have reasonable acoustics, and are lucky enough to put it in the right spot then these recording can sound quite good. Yet, they always have that characteristic of the "one mike sound". In the late 1980's - early 1990's VHS camcorders were becoming more common. Often the room sound from one of these recordings was pretty good as they handled the audio better than cheap cassette recorders.

They may have made a few mistakes to start with...but once these guys got going, there was no stopping them! These songs from this practice tape are something else! Some changes were made later on, of course, but this practice tape gave us all just a teensy little bit of a taste of what was to come! Now, many many icons later... (Whoops! I was starting to channel some 'Crue there! Sorry!), I should say many many years later, this group has grown up and has become the stuff of legends! With well over 125,000,000 albums sold, according to Wapedia (I actually think that the number of Albums sold by Metallica is a lot higher than that, personally)! The moral of the story is:It only takes a spark, to start a raging fire! Metallica has done just that!

@@ericbrewer2409 I never saw the lyrics sheet to Motley Crue's Shout At The Devil Album. Some groups weren't printing the lyrics to their songs, if I remember correctly. That didn't start happening until after the 1985 P. M. R. C. meetings. After that, everybody had to print lyrics sheets, stating what was being said in the music, and the more objectionable albums had to have an Explicit Lyrics kind of a sticker on their albums. Guess what? It backfired on the P. M. R. C. BIG-TIME! More and more copies of certain albums from certain groups actually sold better with those stickers on them, than those who didn't have to have a sticker of that type on them! Believe it or not, I've actually found more truth in some Metal Songs, than I have in many "Churches," that I've attended in my lifetime. I definitely believe in God and going to Church if you want to, but after all the stuff that I've personally experienced in some of those "Churches"...I think I'll just stay home!😆🤣😆🤣😆
