None of tanks would win . The first tank is a super light tank that was discontinued its gun prob could penetrate but it’s a glass cannon bec body and upper turrent is thin . Now I see the Bradley actually winning since they themselves have machine gun cannon that tech fires any type of round with agm missles on the side . Though reversing would have prob gotten the mechs though Experience will always decide who wins the battle . I honestly think in real like if tanks vs mecha in wide open terrain ( mech being out in open not in the ground or camod or stealth coating ) tanks would win 100 percent but in a city tanks would be easy prey bec of buildings . I really love how they didn’t deploy the men but let them die inside the chances are they probably would of turned it around with foot soldiers blinding the enemy’s or staggering them until a Bradly hit one of there guns or parts .
entertaining for what it is, mechs had to be magical to pull something like this though, and a modern tank turret (not sure which models are those Abrams? Bradley?) can move very very fast.
Okay if i'm not missinformed about this, these mechs are kind of special, they have weird syntetic muscles besides a direct neurosinaptical connection or someshit that makes the pilot move it like it was a part of his body and actually move way faster than the anime show us But no matter how "magical" are this technollogy (spoiler allert, they have mystical origins) Theres not a fucking way that not even one of these unita ended up being destroyed on this fight, even more taking down that many armored vehicles
The little details in this sequence are masterful, like the rocket missing, and the tank operator's family picture falling in front of view. Those tiny moments tell miniature stories themselves.
i think IFV with 50mm cannon can shred those mech like nothing....hell if u place 5 Tunguska and sheer volume fire of their 4-30mm cannon, those mech will become swiss cheese
I have never in my life seen more angry tank nerds in my entire life 💀 They have clearly not watched the show these are literally powered by fucking alien magic of course they where going to lose
Can't believe these people are wasting their time on this. Not to mention it lives rent free on their heads to this day. As always im pretty sure it's explained in the anime why these machines are like that. But imagine getting so angry about some sci Fi scene
long range variants of Hellfie or Brimestone missile would obliterate entire group of tanks, they could be launched from more then 10 kilometers, but that doesn't make tanks obsolite in reality
The tanks would have every advantage over the mechs in that terrain. This video is literally an example of a “because it’s cooler” argument why the mechs are better
Ok you idiots I'll explain the scene. FIRST the army fighting these mechs had no idea these mechs even existed. It was the first time another army had ever seen them. TWO they were planning an easy ambush behind the enemy. So you had army fighting something they never knew even existed with little zero preparation. THIRDLY those aren't mechs. This anime is inspired by Eva so there is way more to the way these mechs than technology.FOURTH this anime is super political. Those Japanese forces shouldn't have been there, they are a DEFENCE force, so they couldn't bring everything, as it was supposed to be a quiet stealth mission. And this attack they were doing had ZERO support from the multinational forces.
ok but why did nobody load sabot shell or fire armor piercing munitions further *once enemy brings antitank missiles against armored unit, you deploy infantry because at least they might be able to provide additional fire.* this is stupid.
Tanks are really good at stomping. Mechs are just a different story. A humanoid mech will have our mobility and agility potential plus dexterity. A tank is a heavy hitter no doubt that well placed shot on mech its lights out. But a mechs versatility and adaptability is its bread and butter. Look at Titanfall titans good example. They move quick and hit hard and fast. Turrets take more time aligning and targeting then just shooting. Give a mech its appropriate sized rifle shooting large anti tank rounds say a 30mm tungsten sabot rounds in a drum mag carrying 150. The tank is a sitting duck. Put some rounds in the threads dead in the water. Shoot the engine bay. You ain't moving. Shoot the turret so it can't shoot anything. Primary weapon dead. Shoot the smaller turrets. Now you can't shoot back. Get on top the turret canopy and just point blank. Turn everybody into soup. Tanks can destroy everything even mechs. But mechs get up close and personal.
...you realize walking machine just more complex turret on legs? weapons complex of tank simple, efficient. few point of failure, few point of management. what you think arms do to accuracy?
@@Ripster40 I mean, I don't know the context of this scene, but let's face it: Mechs, by mere design and concept, have no feasible combat purpose or role that can't be achieved by a tank better and more reliably, and this is a problem that no amount of technological maturation or magical plot devicey material can ever hope to solve. If you can build a mech with superior material to that of a current modern MBT, then theoretically so can an actual new MBT be made from said material and it would turn out to be even better. Mechs are, essentially, a tool made to solve a problem that doesn't exist in the first place. Only advantage it could ever give over a tank is being able to "Kung Fu" its way through some similar sized enemy, but how have you gotten to the point where engaging it from far away with a cannon isn't the better option in the first place??? Power armored infantry sized suits on the other hand could be very useful...
People sure likes to make a joke and scoff at a small mech, I can agree that tanks can easily destroy those small mechs that doesn't mean they are useless in combat. For like it can be any Anti-Infantry or personal role, there it's much cheaper and piloted by one person making not lose more lives on battlefield. Not saying that the tank can get beaten I'm saying if the mechs are more suited being support role for a tank. Remember people back in the WW1 when the military saw the first Tanks they just scoff and mocked at it, until it saw it's potential. P.S. I recommend to watch the mecha anime called "OBSOLETE" (watch it on Eng Dub) it's really good.
@@mekingtiger9095 well the infantry sized power armor are more reliable then mech however the only problem is the fuel and core to place on power armor, not to mention it needs to make it smaller which is difficult but possible. While if the mechs over 3-4 meters tall then you could place it like that my favorite mecha anime "Code Geass."
