Blind drops, pin spots, stainers, large holes, small eddies, crazy fast current, giant waves, and super tricky lines; that's the Poudre at flood stage. Great fun if you're up for it. If not, seek calmer waters. Nice video.
You know, I saw my mistakes before I took on Cripps. My mantra is speed is your friend. I didn’t have a lot of speed this one time I ran Cripps. I’ve even eddied out river left just above Cripps. Well, my number was up
Also, I’m not ashamed of posting. The run was well within my abilities. I also figured it brings heightened awareness of river features. I playboat a lot, and where playboating skills helped a lot.
That could have ended up badly. Glad it's not At least they lifted the rope up for you( try not to kill you). I faced almost the same situation last weekend. I understand the situation requires fast decision but some people really need to learn basic practices
The rope was tied to teh raft, so the lift was minimal, but just enough. Yeah, these things can go badly. The rafter on teh rock reached out to me a few days later and explained what happened. All was good, and hoped everyone learned from this, including a new whistle for one of my crew members.
NIce video. Helpful I am sure. Interesting that they still call the one rapid Green Bridge since it;s been gone for many years. I remember paddling here when it still was up. Maybe you should have included a video of carrying your boats back up. :-)
this is a beautiful setting. I really dont think you need to include music in the videos. The natural sounds and the occasional chatter and cheer would be a real fun watch. Gonna subscribe cuz i like adventures.
@@DejanSmaic I have a Jackson Traverse and I’m looking for a boat a bit smaller. I see you paddling a Nirvana in some of your videos. Lower clear Creek with your son Is one I just watched. In need to demo one. I had my Traverse at the kayak park in Canon city and had fun on that wave.
