JT was a cocky character. Chris was drunk/high just pouring it out, totally vulnerable but snapped back out of it once he realized he was being insulted. This was a powerful scene.
I always wondered about this scene. Wouldn't Paulie and Vito have known better to not go knock off a Colombian stash house? More than likely that this stash house was probably linked up with the Colombian cartel or some other Latin American criminal organization. The time frame of this was like early 2000s? By that time, the 5 families had lost much of their influence and muscle, the Jersey mob would've been in much rougher shape
You start to love many of the characters in this show until they commit an act so low you're reminded what dirtbags each of them really are and this was Chrissy's moment. What a low down dirty POS he was for doing that. This dude did nothing to deserve that other than know him.
He shouldnt have tried crying. Look at the micro expressions. He was probably never getting out of this alive but when he tries the crocodile tears tony just sneers, knowing its a tactic. Cant bullshit a bullshitter. The same thing happened to big puss before he gets shot. He tells that bs story about the masseuse he’s fucking, tony sees through it and the decision to kill him solidifies in that instant.
I love the line “the hustle never ends” in conjunction with the lie he told about why he didn’t kill Tony at the motel. He never changed and was willing to kill a father and possibly an innocent girl to protect himself. The hustle never ends indeed.
