That may be the single most delightful moment I've ever seen on the Oscars--everything comes together and everything works: from the song itself, to the delightful, irresistible Ryan Gosling, the musicians, the backup dancers--everything WORKS!
first guy on guitar is the guy who wrote the song (mark ronson) then it's slash - he played on the original track then it's wolfgang van halen with the second white guitar - he also played on the original the camera man in the cowboy hat actually had no idea they were going to do this piece, it was a coincidence
What a shame that these two amazing songs came up against one another-if ever there was an occasion for a dual winning nomination this is surely it? Billie and her brother cast an absolute spell with "What was I Made For?", and The Kens were simply perfect. I will always remember this as the Oscar that should have been shared.
Tres cool. This old Canadian dude was very proud that night. Definitely the best part of the night and the millenium . After Will Smith's debacle , this performance has probably saved the Oscars!
Im a bit pissed how they didnt put Tim Is Running Out in the end section its as good as plug in baby and uprising , probably to hype the crowd in the middle of the set
